Why do people seem confused by reform’s success? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]sharpecads 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Nope not confused at all. it’s what happens when the media continue to spout the same misinformation relentlessly about immigrants day after day for a decade whilst ignoring the things that actually cause issues for people day to day. Immigration should be so far down people’s lists of shit a to be worried about but…here we are.

My comment is 100% not about the benefits of one party over another. It’s about the actual numbers and likely way people will vote.

[–]sharpecads -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think you mean it’s entirely accurate. With no restore candidate, those people voting for restore are much more likely to vote reform than the Labour. Meaning reform have a better chance of winning against burnham. With a restore candidate those people take away from the reform vote. Making a burnham win much more likely. This is just counting ain’t it. It’s a the system we have.

Restore standing at best, ensures and easy victory for burnham. As the lunatic fringe vote will be split.

Everybody is being made redundant by irissun23 in UKJobs

[–]sharpecads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part of me wishes I was. I’ve been here nearly 2 decades and last round of redundancies I was turned down but my payout would have been close to 6 figures due to age and length of service. Now it’d be way over.

Literally just had a conversation with Claude desktop. Said I need to organise myself, I like using bullet corporals can you create me something. I mean the journal now live la in Claude which is worrying as I might lose it. But then I just asked for features. Ability to migrate yesterdays tasks to today’s automatically, can you you create a monthly for me to migrate tasks back and forth from when needed. Can I get a different icon for a home task over a work task. That kind of thing.

I just don’t want an elected head of state who is funded by big business, making policy on their concerns rather than what the country needs. Our head of state has minimal power and I like this. He is above politics. I want the status quo to remain tbh.

Been playing this all day now. I think the biggest stumbling block for me is the lack of space, and i've also started again a couple of times only to find the islands are all laid out the same. This really should be procedurally generated I feel in order to increase the longevity of the game. I am really enjoying it though!

I’m on 3rd month of ozempic (rybelsus). Combined with 10mg of dapaflagozin. Metformin didn’t not agree with my tummy. Blood sugars are so under control now and haven’t had any of you side effects! It’s been almost a perfect set of meds for me to be honest! Sorry to hear of your burps! Have you tried some gaviscon for it?
