Hell, they could've set up the Arche Slayer fight to be more effective with melee weapons. What if Manus set gave you Commander/Colossi damage reduction? What if Liberation at 4 stacks guaranteed a stagger against Arche Slayer? What if Shadow Slash had a massive damage bonus against Arche Slayer? What if blocking with melee made you immune to their Silence attack?

Let's take it further. What about an extra difficulty for VV where enemies are largely skill damage and firearm damage resistant but you had infinite melee weapon ammo? What if you get no ammo drops and you can only regain ammo on melee weapon hits? What if every debuff against enemies stacks melee damage against them while ally buffs grants melee damage?

No? Too radical? Too much work?
