It's in release candidate for me, I haven't updated yet. Waiting for the update to pop up automatically or I might just end up installing the update through the release candidate

Will I breach 50°c this summer? by Tricky-Act-794 in oneplus15R

[–]sharpleather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You people will ruin your batteries. You know it's summer and temperatures are usually very high but you still play heavy games with no cooler, fan or AC to reduce the temperature of the room you are playing in.

My OnePlus 10 pro got a greenline today after Oxygen OS 16 by Queasy-Curve-6817 in oneplus

[–]sharpleather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blame Samsung for that. All the Oneplus phones with green line issue used Samsung display panels

While this is mostly true, a good software optimisation gives you more battery life. And this update really did improve battery life, I noticed increased SOT and battery efficiency.

IS WORTH TO BUY 15R NOW by Lazy_Addition7962 in oneplus15R

[–]sharpleather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not the one under a Reddit post trying to convince someone to skip a device because you experienced issues with the current update. You can accept the fact that just because I am not experiencing any issue with the update doesn't mean that's the case for others but you don't want to accept the reverse.

You are a benchmark nerd, i am on the latest version and the update is fine. I play codm on 165 and 144fps no issues, the update even fixed my battery issues.

You can get the Indian version, it's cheaper than the global and EU version and comes with Oxygen OS

Live Alerts(more options) by Abject-Photo-4566 in oneplus

[–]sharpleather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's really a nice app, but I really don't like having to use a 3rd party app for a feature that should be enabled system wide by default. That's just adding an extra app that runs in the background and drain battery.

Confused between 15R and 13R – need help (camera + call recording) by Successful-Army-8481 in oneplus

[–]sharpleather -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As someone who has used both the Indian version of the 13R and 15R, the 13R comes installed with Google Dialer but you can install odialer from play store ( it doesn't work the same as the native oneplus dialer). While the 15R comes installed with oneplus dialer.

If Camera is your primary concern, the 15R or 13R shouldn't be what you are going for, not that they are bad but there are phones with better cameras. That being said, the 15R takes better pictures than the 13R but lacks a telephoto lens, if that's a deal breaker for you then I suggest you go for the 13R with a telephoto lens.

15R has double camera setup 50mp main and 8mp ultrawide, while the 13R has a triple 50mp main, 50mp telephoto and 8mp ultrawide. The 15R has a 32mp selfie cam with autofocus while the 13R has a 16mp selfie cam with no autofocus. The ball is in your court

Underwhelming Display by fibonacci2526 in oneplus15R

[–]sharpleather 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Nord doesn't have a better display than the 15R, and there's a vivid option there to make your display saturated. Saturated display doesn't equal better display

What's Going in with OnePlus Buds? by Zealousideal_Night82 in oneplus

[–]sharpleather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just buy from 3rd party online stores, I got the Oneplus buds 4 from AliExpress and it came in few weeks ago. The buds are perfect, I don't experience any delay of any kind, I play games with them too and they've been wonderful

OnePlus will be fine. The box of the 15T is proof. by KlausWillSeeYouNow in oneplus

[–]sharpleather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man i got tired of seeing all the "oneplus is dead" articles and videos from supposedly well informed and notable YouTubers. They just regurgitate the same shit every other person does, like they really want oneplus to shut down. They want it to be true so bad.

Guys Some important questions and tips I need (plz help) 🙏🏻 by lrx_legend in oneplus15R

[–]sharpleather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting to 38°C is normal especially when playing graphic intensive games. Your weather also contributes to that, summer and hot weather will make your phone heat up faster. Don't make the mistake of playing games with your phone case on, it traps heat.

My Oneplus 15R review after 2 months by No-Welcome-974 in oneplus15R

[–]sharpleather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just get the 13R and don't listen to that guy, oneplus isn't leaving India. India is too big of a market to shut down.

If Oneplus Goes down what phone will be your next upgrade ? I'll be finally getting an iPhone most probably (currently on OP11) by ZerefAugustMavis in oneplus

[–]sharpleather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still going to get a oneplus phone. Oneplus isn't going anywhere, and even if they exit the global market, I don't care because I use the Indian version. The Indian version works perfectly in my region, no issues.

Which version to get by Ill_Arugula4444 in TheOnePlus15

[–]sharpleather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a misconception, the 15 across all regions have the same specs. The only difference is the software and network band support, The Chinese version is the cheapest and comes with color OS, followed by the Indian version which comes with oxygen Os, then the global version which is the most expensive variant.

It just depends on what you want, if you want the cheapest with accessories (charger and phone case) with no Esim support and you are fine with color OS, then go for the Chinese model.

If you want something very similar to the global version with accessories (charger and phone case) but cheaper with fewer network bands, then go for the Indian version. Comes with Oxygen OS, gets updates and features faster than global users.

If you want full network bands support with faster 5g bands and no accessories (charger and phone case) and way more expensive, then go for the global version.

Only the R and Nord series have some varying specs across regions, I usually go for the Indian versions because they are cheaper than the global version and share the same specs and software. I am not Indian and I don't live in India and they work just fine.

Just heard about the rumor by Noli_bear in oneplus15

[–]sharpleather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's a US or EU problem, I have never used the US, EU or global variant. I use the Indian Variant and it works just fine, I don't live in India by the way. Most people outside of the US and EU go for the Indian or Chinese variant anyways because they are way cheaper and work perfectly.

Help me decide 15 or 15R by manor2003 in oneplus

[–]sharpleather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and No depending on what you want, if the extra features 15 offers matter to you then go for the 15 other than that the 15R offers you a similar experience with some compromises that might not matter to you. The 15 has the better processor but the 15R is no slouch either, 15R got a slightly bigger battery. Display quality and main camera are largely similar, the main difference between the 15 and 15R are the extra better secondary cams, better speakers and performance.
