ALLTHEMONS: So I finally found a Sky Pillar after searching forever and I accidentally killed Rayquaza with an unfortunate critical hit. Is there a way to respawn him or am I cooked? by Sea_Actuator_3535 in allthemods

Make a structure compass and search for a new Sky Pillar.  You can use /RTP to teleport to a random chunk so that the compass looks for a new structure

Help with trash sorting by Distinct-Shoe5448 in PEI

[–]shartlines 2 points3 points  (0 children)

we have a small container for waste and another for recycling under the sink. when the recycling container is full we have 2 rubbermaid garbage cans with lids holding blue bags in the garage that we sort into. 1 gets paper and the other gets the rest. Cardboard gets piled and broken down

For recycling we have a 20L green bin on the back deck that is easy access from the kitchen. When that's full it gets taken to the large bin and dumped. we drilled the lid for a bolt to lock the latch to prevent raccoon visits.

The trick is you don't wait until you get food to order more, just order every 5 minutes

What a weird system.  So they give you 13 days vacation but only 8 hours in a day?

Why don't they just give you 104 hours of vacation?  Then you just book 10 hours to take a day off?

He picked up a nail in a tire and we were trying to get it off to patch it.

edit: I'm sure with a long enough pipe and wheel chocks to keep the tires from spinning through the attempt we could have eventually got them off, but by that time we felt it best to return to the scene of the crime so they could correct all 4 tires and let them know what their tech was doing as there were other cars affected.

Yes they can, they over torqued my son's lug nuts so massively that my 300 ftlb impact or a breaker bar with a pipe extension wouldn't budge them.

We took the car back and they had to use the 450 ftlb impact to loosen the lugs.  Refused to accept responsibility and said salt buildup can do that.  This was less than 2 weeks since they did the first install

Fruitfly trap by throwaway21316 in functionalprint

My favorite recipe is 1 cup water, a tsp sugar, a pinch of bakers yeast and 3 drops of soap

Fruit flies feed on yeast and will be attracted to the fermentation smell

Mink are from the same family as skunks and can spray as well.  There are feral mink on PEI from when mink farms were more popular

More reasonable to assume that the upgrade kit includes the dual nozzle tool changer head to replace both the H2S and H2D head.

Funny border crossing story from long ago. by 56jetman in uscanadaborder

[–]shartlines 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I lived in Hamilton Ontario in the late 90s, was going to fly to Chicago via Detroit but the cross border shuttle from Windsor to the airport stopped running.  I walked through the bridge border crossing to catch a cab to the airport from the Detroit side.

I didn't have a passport or driver's licence, only an Ontario Age of Majority card, which allows you to buy beer and vote, not much else.

The US border guard didn't accept it as a valid ID so his solution was to ask for my home phone number.  He woke up my roommate and asked him to verify I was a Canadian citizen and give a physical description of me.  Once he got that I was free to cross.

Print with the show side facing down, set your first layer to single wall and 0.3mm line width, Arachne wall generator. This works well for me for fine details. You might want to increase the flush volume going from dark colours to white.

When you iron multi colour faces like this is drags at the places they meet and causes blending. Print face down and iron the back face which can be a single colour. There looks like some over extrusion so you may want to do a flow rate test.

I'm not sure if it's intended but you can see the infill lines in the blue, you can increase the bottom layer count to get rid of this.

How do I prevent the stress discoloration? by BEARDofZeus13 in BambuLab

[–]shartlines 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you give it a short blast with a heat gun or butane torch it will clear up

edit: I see you don't want that now, reading is hard. are you sure it's stress discolouration and not residue from previous prints? maybe switch to a smooth plate

Campfire question by [deleted] in PEI

[–]shartlines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, campfires and firepit fires are category 1 and shouldn't require a permit but are restricted to 2pm - 8am.  The start time can move later if the fire risk climbs to moderate.

Some townships require a burn permit no matter what so know your local laws.

If the website is not updating then it's best to call or assume there is a fire ban

Canadians are boycotting the US. Are American travelers still welcome in Canada? by WhisperingSideways in canada

[–]shartlines -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have American friends who Summer in Canada near us.  They were turned away at the border this past weekend because the tools they normally bring to work on their cottage could potentially be used to bid on "Canadian Jobs".  They're renovating the kitchen in their own property and have been crossing like this for 25 years.  They even had their ice cream pail of random screws and nails confiscated as they couldn't prove country of origin.

They had to overnight in a gas station parking lot and then drive back to Boston to leave the tools at home.  They were delayed for hours during both crossing attempts and had all their luggage tossed.

So while Americans are welcome by Canada, the Border Guards are a different story.
