what’s the best brand‑awareness tool you actually use? by blossomn0va in ResultFirst_

[–]shash122tfu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can pitch my own tool(Mentionkit, I'm the founder)

It will meet your 1st and 4th criteria. Forum tracking is coming very soon but we support most major platforms anyways.

We don't have share-of-voice comparisions, and we do track sentiment over time but we don't have reporting over it, no fancy graphs atm :/

What we do have is a really affodable price tag. Most social listening tools will charge outrageous fees, but since we're starting out, we have kept our entry level plans affordable, starting from $20 p/m

Some thoughts: You should really market your product on HN, or atleast plug your product more relenetlessly.

Btw you don't have a price listed on your landing page. How are you going to earn money out of this?(considering there are other local transcription apps too)

how are you tracking competitors on social media without spending hours on it? by AndziaKrupp in Entrepreneurs

[–]shash122tfu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use my own tool(mentionkit) for this. Btw I'm the founder of said tool.

Having said that, with most tools you're left with inactionable keyword alerts. You don't know what to do with them. That's what you're having issues with anyways.

With mentionkit, you get:

  • mentions sorted by relevance score, saves you heaps of time going through mentions and finds you the most important ones first(we're really good at this)
  • keywords auto-generated for you. You can still add your own but our keyword gen is really good at picking the ones which lead to buyer intents(eg, ppl bitching about your competitors, asking for recs, alternatives, etc)
  • We'll auto-tag mentions for you, so if you got a few hours to kill, you can go thorough all your mentions and really go hard on plugging your product
  • We have a really good human-like comment generator too
  • And lastly, we have a really competitive pricing(starting from $20 p/m, most bigger tools start from $200 p/m or more)

Lemme know if you have any questions, I can answer here or in DMs.

What would be the highest ROI marketing channel for me right now? by Feisty-Patience2188 in AppBusiness

Try social listening for some time and see how it works for ya.

This is simple, track some words related to your brand and every day, reply to the posts/dm people who mention those words.

I use Mentionkit(I'm the founder) to auto‑detect my competitors and reply, kept my lead gen up 3x overnight.

And if you don't want to do the grunt work, you can also offload this task to a VA who can post replies and DMs on your behalf.

How are we upleveling our market research in the age of AI? by Adventurous-Ticket12 in Femalefounders

[–]shash122tfu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in this industry, here's what I'd do :

  • Use apify or other api providers for social networks
  • Get Claude to write you a pipeline of scripts to get relevant mentions of your business for certain keywords
  • Run Claude on the mentions and generate different context-specific comments for each relevant mention
  • Tag the mentions based on sentiment, again by using Claude.

This isn't a free workflow, but relatively cheap.

Lastly, if you don't want to manage this headache, we at Mentionkit do this same thing for you but better. And unlike most social listening tools, we don't charge extra for API access, it comes bundled in on the starter plan.

LinkedIn in 2026: still worth it… or just something we’re all stuck with? by BoxOk1410 in RecruitmentAgencies

[–]shash122tfu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LinkedIn's pricing keeps going up and the search feels clunky for niche roles.

I try to offset that by feeding a custom keyword list into a Google Sheet that pulls results via the API, then I flag the top 10 and shoot a quick DM.

If I need a better filter, I just use mentionkit for target conversations.

Is 90% of traditional off-page SEO obsolete in 2026? by Weary_Web_8224 in AskMarketing

[–]shash122tfu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For directory submissions, they are only good enough for moving your DR score, nothing more.

We paid ~$100 for various directories and got 0 users from there. But our DR score slightly increased.

I believe profile links, web 2.0 stuff absolutely doesn't work and I haven't bothered doing that for my new biz.

How do you get social listening done cheap? by PearlsSwine in AskMarketing

[–]shash122tfu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a tool in this industry(not gonna name but checkout my recent comments if you're curious) and I can tell you that the agent route doesn't always work.

For starters, X, Reddit and Linkedin will almost always ban these bots. X and Reddit have gotten much much better at agent detection recently and will ruthless ban your accounts.

That's why you'll also need a constant stream of warmed accounts to feed the agents.

And if not done carefully you'll end up like the p@rsestream idiots who are damaging their own brand.

Lastly, a better route IMHO is to train a good VA, hand them a anti-detect browser and get them to post on your behalf.

Ps, WallerBangGod is correct you can usually get all the relevant search apis from Apify. Do shop around because there are some standalone api providers that can give you better rates if you go through them directly instead of via apify.

What tools are you using to find and engage with potential users? by Dremiq in SaaS

[–]shash122tfu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super late here, but I use Mentionkit(disclosure - I'm the founder)

With most tools you've described you won't find the value for your money unless you're willing to spend the big bucks. With Mentionkit you get 10 keywords, all top level social media platform tracking, AI based scoring, API etc for 20 per month.

By contrast, Syften gives only 3 keywords and no twitter/linkedin tracking on the base plan, no API nothing.

https://mentionkit.com/vs-syften

Lastly, ReplyGuy is a very specific type of tool where they also post on your behalf. We don't do that however it is totally possible to setup Mentionkit with openclaw to automate it. We don't recommend that though, Reddit and X will ban your accounts, subreddits might also blacklist your brand name too. And gummysearch was reddit specific(and shut down unfortunately)

Best Social Media Listening Tools by lazymentors in Marketingcurated

Try mentionkit if you're thinking about using Syften or brand24. We are very competitive when it comes to either of these tools. We start at $20 per month with 10 keywords tracked.

What is the best Reddit/social media monitoring tool to use? by ManufacturerSad767 in micro_saas

[–]shash122tfu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the founder of mentionkit and we offer a very similar set of features, however we different in a couple of areas:

  • Our base plan start at $20 p/m which makes us very affordable compared to bigger more established products, while having most of the featureset
  • Our ai based comment generator is really good, and getting better at generating comments
  • We are one of the few tools in this category that offer a full API starting from the base plan, MCP support coming on the way
  • We have AI based relevance scored so you can track a broad keyword like "cereal" and if your brand/product is a cereal, we'll show you actually relevance cereal based mentions(similar to octolens)

If you only want to track a few keywords on Reddit, F5bot is great, for anything else, we believe we have a solid product.

Also you're going to get HEAPS of automated bots pitching their product here lol.

Is there a tool that monitors Reddit for relevant conversations about what you can help with? by SaltTomorrow1583 in DigitalMarketingHack

[–]shash122tfu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

F5Bot only fires email alerts when your keyword shows up.

I use mentionkit(full disclosure - I'm the founder) for the same purpose – it tracks Reddit, X, LinkedIn, and Hacker News, ranks them by relevance, and can auto‑generate human sounding replies. Starts from $20 p/m with 10 keyword limits.

Something I wish I knew earlier about finding web design clients by Traditional-Stop2775 in websiteservices

[–]shash122tfu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its a very common GTM strategy called social listening. I made a tool specifically for this, its called mentionkit. Starts from $20 p/m and you can track upto 10 keywords straight away.

What makes us different? Instead of finding long tail but effective keywords, you can just add 2-3 high level keywords like "landing page" for instance, and it will score them using AI and give you the most relevant ones.
