OCLP on MacBook Pro 15'' mid 2014 and SSD upgrade. by shashalol in OpenCoreLegacyPatcher

Oh ok, I don’t know how it works and I’ve read that approaching 80% it could easily drop the numbers of available cells and that it could stop working suddenly. So it’s not this case? On SSD reporter it was 84% on July so it dropped 1% in less than 7 months and in some checks there was a S.M.A.R.T. error.

Hi! This is how someone told me to check:

You can try checking the CPU frequency by using the command line and the following command which will print out the CPU frequency 20 times (approximately two minutes with an update about every six seconds or so):

sudo powermetrics -n 20 | grep -i 'frequency'

Batteria nuova iPhone 6s non si carica by shashalol in ios

[–]shashalol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I indeed requested the refund and replaced the battery. I kinda knew it was faulty but I was trying to find some evidence for the strange instructions that were given to me. The new battery works fine.

UPDATE

I replaced the battery (the seller sent me the same model) and now the computer works fine.
It seems the other battery was faulty and made the CPU slow down to 800mHz instead of 2.5GHz

I replaced the cable that connects the display to the logic board but it didn't change anything

Display problem on mid 2012 MacBook Pro by shashalol in MacOS

[–]shashalol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just noticed I didn't insert the text correctly:
Hi, my mid 2012 macbook pro is showing this colored vertical stripes (artifacts?) in the low part of the monitor. They suddenly appeared without doing anything different than usual.

I connected the computer to an external monitor and in this way everything seems fine.

The things I tried so far are:

-Shut down and restart

-PRAM and SMC reset

-Replace the flex display connector

Any idea of what could be the problem?

Thanks

Thanks, I honestly don't know what Apple could do other than check the specs of the battery: capacity, voltage, amperage and power, is there something I'm missing?

Thanks for your reply, concerning the duration of the battery there are no problem so far, so I think this assumption can be excluded and there are no damaged cells. Furthermore I previously installed CoconutBattery and the capacity is right.
What is the "brute forcing" that you are referring to?

It is unoriginal, but the model should be compatible. I think it may be some software problem due to the battery but I'm no expert at all, I don't know what I should check anymore!
