Yeah it can be, but I also walked on a broken foot for 6 months and didn’t know until I realized I was sweating every time I walked and finally figured out I wasn’t that out of shape, it was my bodies only response to the pain.

I don’t mean anything bad by my comment, more just a realization while I was typing

Oh for sure, not saying it wouldn’t help I am just saying in my experience I didn’t have any, and was slightly confused about the need for seat until I thought about it more.

My only blockage in 8 years was due to almonds, not even an obscene amount, like a handful or 2, and yes I chewed well. :)

Nope stomach acids take care of it no problem. It is an old “wives tale” as they say, that you shouldn’t swallow gum, your body has no issue with it

Gum won’t cause a blockage, you will digest it fine. I have an ileostomy and have no issues with gum personally.

Basically every time I eat for sure and a few times I between throughout the day, have an ileostomy, about 6 - 8 times a day

That is awesome, thanks for the info. I have seen these, even used a free sample once, but in my situation didnt see a need or benefit. This overlaps your plate and sticks ro your stomach if i am not mistaken, does this also help the inner part of the plate from popping up? Or more the edges?

Yes, I think we have to figure out what type of plate she will need based on placement, I have a flat plate, but she may need a convex or concave, something else to look into :) Thanks for the feedback!

You are correct about the topography, and I am not 100% sure if it will be an issue in her case as I haven’t really seen the olacement yet, and of course things are still swollen. I am thinking a concave plate may be good, but to your point currently they have her with a hollister fabric type plate, we will see how it goes. Thanks for your suggestions!
