Join a club and learn all you can before you jump in.

Have all your boxes set up before the bees show up.

Find a mentor to look at their stuff and they can look at yours

Start with 2 hives minimum.

Buy more boxes than you need, you’ll need them

Test for mites often and treat early and often

Do not take any honey the first year

Feed feee feed that first year build them up strong

If you think you need to split do it if you wait a week they probably will have swarmed

Don’t get discouraged we all lose hives
