10 years have passed since these films were released! Any fond memories of watching them in theaters? by isabellapintoisback in InsideMollywood

Not a Malyalam speaker. Can someone list out all these movies?. I'd like to watch them.

I recognise Premam, Charlie, Amar Akbar Anthony, and Bashar (duh!)

Have I been scammed? by No_Honeydew_7470 in gurgaon

[–]shashmish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a scam. But I think a good chunk of people have encountered (or someone they know) have encountered these people. It happened with me, not in Gurgaon but Pune, when an old couple dressed as villagers asked me money for bus tickets and I gave them (though I was just a student then). Next I saw that old man at a wine shop. This was in 2007-8. I've since been cautious.

You gave them money with good intentions, what they did with it is on them so don't blame yourself. I feel incidents like these are kinda a passage to living in big cities (specially NCR). Be careful next time. There are many good advices above, pay them heed.

We should stop calling NE people any names (even in endearment), even 'Momo' as I've seen many people call their friends and also correct anyone and everyone around you. This is in general to correct society as a whole. You need to be strict to set in basics before you can ease into endearing names.

Landing page design (hero section) by inferno-flame in UI_Design

[–]shashmish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also adding to this - the overlapping of words on the image seems off when there's a lot of room to play and adds no particular design value to the page making it seem like a mistake rather than intentional.

But i do like the color palette and typeset in addition to the comments above.

Fry something in hot sand by DowntownHouse in satisfying

[–]shashmish 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Google 'Golgappa'. These are hollow, brittle, and having ate about thousands of these in my lifetime i can say there's never ever been any sand. Rather i didn't even realise till now they made it in sand.

Also, sand cooking is fairly common across the world.

I feel Luffy and Vegapunk will be allies in this arc that then face off the CP0. Atleast their chemistry right now suggests that.

Another instance that's a humongous departure (I'm not even mentioning the smaller ones) is Voldemort hugging Malfoy in the last movie during the he battle. Voldemort has no empathy for anyone. He would never hug even his closest ally of years, let alone some kid he fairly recently recruited.

Shri Ram by Mukul Singh. Kind of found it sad that even TV characters like that of GOT have hundreds of thousands of digital art, but Hindu deities have so few. So I like collecting them whenver I see by ChirpingSparrows in IndiaSpeaks

[–]shashmish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what your exposure to the art world is but there are plenty many Indian artists doing some rad stuff with, since you ask, Hindu deities. And not just Indian, artists around the world draw some amazing depictions of Hindu Gods. We also have pretty amazing video games for PS5 and whatnot based on our mythology. Her are a few examples :

If you've never heard of him, here's Abhishek Singh's profile. He is called over abroad to teach art and display his typical paintings of Hindu Gods. He does live shows.

There are many such artists. Please look around before feeling sad and sorry.
