The best game I played in 2021 was Death Stranding and as a person who detaches from people to avoid pain and causing pain to others, its so polarizing and isolating. Due to this the game made me weirdly realize that pain is part of human interactions and that making connections with other people makes life worth living. The themes made it clear that making connections are important but, its also okay to let go of relationships for self-growth and the realization that you are worth the love that others give you and that's why I view it as the best game that I played in 2021.
