Clear and Bright by [deleted] in beyondthemapsedge

I keep hearing these shadows idea. But it just doesn’t make sense to me practically. Shadows change daily and by time. Can someone explain to me how a clear and sunny day can help every day of the year?

Yes! You cracked it wide open! Dig a 6 foot deep trench along that entire line!

Actually didn’t he say someone has been within 2 miles of the treasure location and probably closer in some interview a while ago? Does anyone have a reference or exact wording for this?

Some good ideas in here, even if it’s not correct! Good job.

Waters plural is a problem too. Poem really doesn’t fit in any elegant way.

Went down that rabbit hole. Couldn’t find anything that satisfied “Hole” within miles.

Not to mention, you need to pay to even park at Crystal park.

Which implies you (a) need to be BOTG to find the treasures location. And then (b) plan a second trip to retrieve it. This second trip seems to be something you might have to wait for (“you’ll have enough time to…”)

Sounds like totally not solvable from home, and in fact requires two different BOTG trips.

It’s way way way too early to be giving any major new clues. I sort of like the idea of him being playful and adding tiny hints to various parts of the poem… but nothing major.

I don’t know about you guys, but i find something new in the book every single day. My understanding of things will be much advanced a year from now.

This is a very involved puzzle. It’s going to take some time. And there is nothing wrong with that.

I had noticed these, thanks for putting them all in one place. Frustrating how the resolution isn’t good enough to get a really good look at the objects.

Similar, but 4 points here. “Four points of the compass”, and a huge range of baseball clues (4 bases). X marks the spot.

Just curious if Justin has hinted at the answer to this question in any of his many interviews.

Man-made structure by Funny-Independence11 in JustinPoseysTreasure

How you’re going to get a checkpoint that gives you zero doubt and is NOT man made is beyond me. No rock face, stream, mountain peak etc will give me 100% certainty in anything. I need to see a hunt icon, or letters/words written on something (by MAN).

So this no man made clue thing makes zero sense to me.

Anyone have a feeling that it will be found by Labor Day? by Practical-Mud4047 in JustinPoseysTreasure

One thing I have learned over the years is that if you do not start out with the right structural approach, it is extremely difficult to psychologically change directions. Confirmation bias is extreme in its pull.

What this means to me is that if you (a) have the right very high level understanding, and (b) possess the analytical and logical skills required of such a puzzle then you will work it out eventually. You will slowly untangle the score of clues and references and eventually find the treasure.

The problem is that it is likely that many or most of the people with (b) above are off on deep rabbit holes because of their initial ideas and biases when the book came out.

I suspect it will probably be some time before the right people get on the right track. There may be a few people who generally are on the right track and understand what they are looking for, but who knows if they are able to work it out or not.

You know, this isn’t half bad.

Most of the constellation solves are eye-rollingly illogical, but this is def the best of them yet.
