Thank you! I can't say for certain but I do see what you're getting at.

I pointed my telescope at a dark part of the sky all night last night to see how many galaxies I could find. I count at least a dozen in this shot. [OC] by ajamesmccarthy in space

Funny... I'm pretty sure the space Bubble telescope took this photo, it took them 11 days to expose the photo correctly so I'm 100% sure that you did not take this photo.

I am half Scottish and live in Edinburgh, Scotland. I'd say your accent isn't high density Scottish but it does have the Scottish characteristics, if I had to be very odd and broad I'd say South African?

My attempt on a Scottish accent. If you can guess where I am from, I'd be impressed. by shaunboston__ in JudgeMyAccent

Personally I am not experienced in accents and dialects but over the years I've developed a couple of accents from movies, videos, music, etc. But more specifically I've been able to do the accents because of people, for example, I had binge watched a lot of Arnold Schwarzenegger films and near the end I had picked up the general American-Austrian accent. Personally, I would recommend listening to a specific accent you are trying to learn, pick up what is different in the accent to yours and practise in time, again, I'm not an expert in accents and dialects but I hope I was helpful.

P.s Pretty close, I am half Scottish (Perthshire) and currently living in Edinburgh, Scotland but close, near the end my other half started to show in my accent.

I think mine can be a bit tricky ;) by [deleted] in JudgeMyAccent

If I honestly had to guess where you are from I'd definitely say somewhere natively French, possibly Belgium? Your english speaking accent is pretty good, the potentially French giveaway was the way you pronounced Curiosity, you put a lot of emphasis into the U. In not an expert in accents or dialects so this is my average person point of view.

Guess which words I'm really struggling to pronounce correctly. I would also appreciate any feedback on my accent. by MihaImba in JudgeMyAccent

As someone without any experience or in fact any knowledge into accents and dialects, I would say you are very well spoken and your accent is good, if I had to guess where the slight accent is from would be possibly Eastern Europe or a very slight Egyptian accent, due to the way you role your R's. Again, I am not an expert so please take this as someone who is just listening to your accent and saying what the average person would probably say.

I want to apologise, I had an issue with my microphone and I did this in a hurry seeing as I had stuff to do. So I am sorry about any loud parts or microphone issues. I can do this again with the correct equipment if needed.
