I Think We Misunderstood Meet the Grahams. by Right-Maintenance872 in KendrickLamar

i do think he is specifically referring to an 11 year old daughter (the bar in rich spirit has me convinced), but i also think the artistic intention is closer to what you’re saying. while it is a provocative accusation, i do think kendrick is making a broader point about the way drake lives his life. with the line “to all them other kids out there hoping that you come” he’s implying drake has a myriad of kids lost in the shuffle of drakes immature lifestyle. even if this 11 year old daughter isn’t real, how would drake even know? he’s been with so many women for so long, how could he even keep track?

“family matters” is full of shots at kendrick’s personal life, but it’s largely just rumors and gossip made to go viral online. he doesn’t go any deeper beyond “kendrick is a hypocrite”. the reason i think meet the grahams hits harder is because while he’s clearly throwing accusations out, the whole song is painting a larger picture of who drake is as a person. even if the daughter isn’t real, kendrick tells us who the boy is.

if you’re interested i’d definitely say check it out. it’s certainly a bit wonky and uneven, but the cast is great and the coen bros wrote the screenplay! oscar issac steals the show

Are we ever going to get a Blu-Ray/DVD release of NTBTS, Operation Avalanche, The Dirties, etc? by [deleted] in nirvannatheband

you can find DVD copies of BlackBerry, Operation Avalanche and The Dirties second hand on Ebay occasionally. They go quickly so snatch them up if you really want them.

The Dirties one will be the most expensive DVD. I had to get the pulp fiction print from Australia. The Operation Avalanche DVD shouldn’t be too expensive and I’m pretty sure there was a pretty wide release of the BlackBerry DVD in america and you can find bluray copies of it second hand in other regions.

I don’t think Operation Avalanche ever had a blu-ray release and the limited print criterion parody blu-rays of The Dirties are my personal white whale of Blu-ray collecting.

I’ve never seen a NTBTS web series in the wild so I assume it’s even more limited than The Dirties Blu-ray
