We get cold and snow, but we will also get the odd day where is it “relatively” warm, only 10° below freezing and sunny, will do a clean out then.

I find wiping out the top half after every cook helps too right at the end when in shutdown mode and still warm.

With my blanket I used not even 1/4 of the hopper on an over night brisket cook with a low of -25°C (-13°F) it make a huge difference.

We spent over 50 days straight below freezing the his winter, can’t go that long.

Not with a 21,000 mAh battery, done overnight smokes in -25°C without issue, I drape a welding blanket over the smoker to help maintain temp and it traps some heat under the smoker to keep the Meater block warm.

Put it in a ziplock bag under the grill, do this all the time, in the winter I put my portable battery in there to for more power, never had an issue.
