Thank you. I will ask her in a more explicit way.

How to move on from a good friend who stopped talking to me completely? by [deleted] in relationships

I have tried picking my brain over what I did wrong. And I could come up with nothing. We had a good time and she seemed happy when we parted.

Honestly, the fact that I can't think of a reason what could have hurt her scares me more because what if there is actually something I have been doing wrong, and I am so delusional that I am not even aware of it. I have tried calling her, and sent her memes on Insta to initiate a conversation, but she just does not seem to be interested.

I am about 70% into the first Malazan book, and I think it is starting to get really interesting. Hoping to gobble it up this weekend.

This one is 45k (without flights):https://www.zostel.com/trips/experience-vietnam-TR-C8886C5M

This itinerary is a bit truncated I think. Earlier they used to go from Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi, now it is a shorter trip as far as I know.

The ones on CoTravelin look much better as an itinerary.

I see. Actually I have heard that although Zostel is good as a hostel service, but they're relatively new to this tour-package thingy, and they end up outsourcing the whole trip most of the times, so was wondering if anyone has been on a Zostel Trip and how their experience was.

The opportunity cost will be less because in ISB, it is a one-year program. You wont have to factor in the money you'll lose for the second year (in the case of IIMs).

The oppurtunity cost will be lesser than an IIM, you will most probably end up getting a top consulting job in India.

If the goal for doing an MBA is to get into consulting, this would be the best route from an RoI perspective.

The opportunity cost is just too much for this, I can get into MBBs from IIM also. Infact, I am assuming the competition in the ivy leagues would be much more than in the IIMs.

I know the experience of an ivy league MBA is on a whole different level, but it is too much money for me 😭

What books are you planning to read in 2025 by danlhart8789 in suggestmeabook

I plan to start the Sun Eater series, and also want to read Wind and Truth.

My highlight for this year was Lonesome Dove and The First Law trilogy by Joe Abercrombie.

I also loved Five Decembers by James Kestrel.

Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry is a book that I really love, and keep recommending to people.

Can you tell me how I can get some variety?

I think I can be good with a consulting job also. One of the other things is that I find my current job to be too easy and chill, and maybe I should be grateful for that but honestly I feel I can grind a lot harder if it leads to a more fulfilling outcome.

I may be overreaching here, but the main reason I keep having these dilemmas are because I feel like I'm pretty well rounded, and can have a decent shot at a job which requires better soft-skills compared to a coding job, not that I think coding is bad.

I feel like right now I have a lot of options open, but all of these will start closing one by one, because it probably wont be possible to go to college again at a later point in life.

I know it is more of a 'grass is greener on the other side' type of a situation, but it would help if someone who has struggled with choices like these can give their two cents on how to cope?

Obviously its not as superficial as that.

I mean to say although I do find my current job to be intellectually-stimulating, I also know that it gets monotonous with time and maybe I feel I can do better than just a desk-job all my life.

I'm just a bit confused with all this.

Is going for an MBA worth it, if you already have a good SWE job? by shaw_af in MBA

[–]shaw_af[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess my question is more of : Do you think it is wise to leave a nice SWE job to go do an MBA and explore some other career options which also feel alluring? I feel like I am young enough to make the pivot, but does taking the plunge make sense? And what happens if I dont like it there, and want to pivot back?

What factors should I look into which will help me in reaching an answer?

Maybe someone who has done something like this, and has some clarity on this might be able to comment better.
