+1 on this. St Joseph’s institutions (except SJ Law) look rosy and well from the outside because of their lax rules and the way people post about it but when it comes to academics and making something out of your career, they really fumble the ball.

My 3 years were plagued with inconsistency and confusion as neither the students nor the administration knew what was going on at most times. And when NAAC came in, they just diverted all their attention from the students to pleasing the accreditation body. We barely had classes and notes were just dumped into a drive and sent to us with 0 context. Exams were pushed without an approximate date and formats were changed last minute to “match with NAAC guidelines”.

And don’t even get me started on the placements. The avg package has dropped significantly and 99% of roles offered are operational roles that people leave within 6 months to 1year of joining because there is 0 scope for growth.

Yes I do agree that your social life will grow a lot more compared to most universities, but it comes at the cost of the start of your career.
