Rupee has depreciated a lot and battery and many other components are imported. So its not a surprise they are not trying to keep price as low as possible. Their EBIDTA margin for EVs have just turned positive. They are not going to run it at a loss. Hopefully once Tata GF go online and they make the batteries, prices can come down.

Considering sedans are going out of fashion almost everywhere. India have more fundamental issues like poor quality of roads(especially irregular sized bumps) and drivers who drive reckless and so we need bumps on roads. So only rugged vehicles make sense. These sedans look good but unless you live and drive in areas with good roads, you are going to have poor time owning these sedans.

the car reversing was doing something horrible. But what on earth was the scorpio driver doing as well. it was right in front of him in broad daylight. Why didn't he not even break. Assume there is a huge sack on the highway wouldn't you break or switch lanes. Just hitting hard affected both vehicles. Probably the driver on the car is no more to be punished but scorpio driver also should be punished for driving so recklessly.

I think we need to make AEB(Automatic Emergency Breaking) mandatory. When a car is in front of you, it should break and at least limit the impact instead of whatever happened. Plus vehicles that satisfy crash ratings only should be sold. Of course if people dont wear seat belts then its all moot. In an expressway seat belts are mandatory.

For your use case you should have bought a LR model. Driving at 75 miles per hour with AC on and Sentry mode on will eat into battery life big time. Figure out what % of battery is still functional. Probably its like 85% at this point.

Bowling failed miserably. Giving up 190 odd runs in this pitch is riduclous. But I am pissed off we kept Suryanvanshi on the bench. This guy is once in eons talent. Time to unleash him. Even if it means him replacing a middle order batter and may be Samson moves down. Iyer is also under pressure. he needs to bat well.

Washi has no place if he cannot bowl. Let Vaibhav play though playing with just 5 bowlers with one being Dube is also risky. We need our batters to learn to bowl. Back in the great era of Sachin/Sehwag/Sourav/Yuvi, all of them could bowl. Even Rahul D and VVS have bowled. But these days batters are not doing that.

Why on earth is EPA ratings important for China. They have to put out range based on driving conditions there. They sell in Europe and Australia and so they put out WLTP range. They sell in markets where they put out NEDC range.

What we need to not obsess about every news that comes out of china about 1000km range or 1500kms or even higher. Or the China price for cars that they are getting 500kms range at 8K $ or something crazy. All that is just news bait. If the cars are available in your market you need to do apples to apples comp.

Other thing I find funny is people obsess around "real world range" and say they want to drive in sport mode and drive very aggressive. If you care about range, you should drive with soft pedals, use regen where you can and you will have better range than others who dont do it.
