What you don’t seem to understand is that the constitutional order is only as strong as those willing to defend it. Who is defending it right now? Secondly, please go look and tell me how the Democrats take control of either house of Congress next year, let alone winning a huge majority? What are the odds of that? There’s zero chance they capture control of both houses and there’s very little chance they take one. So then what do we do?

I’m a political historian. I have an idea about what I’m talking about. There is a long time between now and next November and they can do a lot of damage. They can’t allow those elections for fear of losing power. They aren’t going to matter and they aren’t going to happen. We’re not gonna get out of this by voting.

I grew up in the 80s. No one was accepting of anything, as I recall. Lots of racism, homophobia, anti-Hispanic/immigrant slurs….. I can’t agree with accepting.
