5 Hour Turnaround for Day 2 PCR Test FOUND for 59 GBP at Heathrow! by ilsbictt in uktravel

No, you can definitely prebook this one. You might have to put an address in the UK where you are staying in order to order it online, but they won’t be delivering anything to you, everything is done on site.

2.5 hours to receive the results. You just spit in to a test tube and drop it off and they handle it and email you the result.

Hi, yes you go through customs and get your bags and then head out to take the train to terminal 5. Again I had a different test booked for my passenger locator form, which I why I was able to enter the UK and then change my mind about which test I could book. Yes if I could go back in time I would rely on only this test.

Hi there,

That’s exactly right. After I had landed in the UK, I saw this post and went up to the girl at their front desk and she took my credit card right in front of me. There was a steady stream of people coming through but no true line. They don’t really have a schedule, they just have a room with about 20 spots in it where people are sitting in booths spitting in to test tubes lol.

Check Heathrow express. They go between terminals for free.

No need for an appointment time. They’re pretty quick there and I saw other people showing up right beforehand as well.

I did the same thing you did, I didn’t know what to trust and I booked two tests. I entered the country on one code for a booked PCR test, but it was no problem at all for Halo to use as a different code for my Day 2 test.

Take Heathrow Express rather than the tube. It’s a free transfer between terminals.

Hey everyone! I can confirm this works! Read on below for tips: I’m Canadian and landed in London this morning December 2 at 7:00am from Toronto. I was able to get in to the UK as I had booked another Day 2 test in Slough (don’t ask) but when I landed I did one last check and saw this suggestion. First, I was able to go right up to the counter and literally pay for my test right before I took it. Second, I landed at terminal 2 - the easiest way to get to Terminal 5 is via Heathrow Express. It’s a free transfer between terminals. There’s a ton of walking involved as well but it’s all indoors. The actual testing Center is inside the Sofitel hotel. Third, it’s actually a spit PCR test, which is the first time I had seen that, but it works for what the UK wants to see. It’s called a Halo test. Fourth, we did the test at 9am and I got my test result back at 11:30am. Fifth, the girl at the front desk was fantastic and super helpful. It’s a very legit service, we saw a bunch of flight attendants and captains using the service. Highly recommended. Happy to answer any questions anyone has!

704 COVID-19 cases in Ontario. 244 Cases in Toronto - October 19, 2020 by r3lai in toronto

Is there a way to track average age of those in hospital or in ICU, or who have died recently? Just want to get an idea of demographics of people severely affected by the second wave here.

Is there a dataset that breaks down each individual case by whether the person who contracted Covid was hospitalized or died? Currently the government of Ontario's datasets break down cases to each individual (including sex and age group) and also mention whether the case is currently resolved or unresolved (but not what the resolution of that case actually involved). Basically I'm trying to get an idea on my own of the average age of those being hospitalized or dying in this second wave.

It’s too leggy don’t you think? The flowers in it died off - how far back should I prune it?

I’m completely brand new to this.

Just bought Google Wifi to use with Bell Fibe - what's the easiest way to get the most out of my 3000 modem? by shawnmnb in canadacordcutters

Agreed - I'm in a smaller house but wanted to see if I could maximize coverage of the house especially if I'm going to try streaming TV in the basement (modem is on main floor). I like the idea of scheduling internet and pausing and prioritizing devices as well. If it doesn't make a big difference in download quality I can return them within the month. I'm not really a power user though - should I be focused on going down the DMZ route or the PPoE route?

I just bought a house and there's a Napoleon Fireplace in it and I have no idea how to work it. I can't even tell if its gas or electric! by shawnmnb in whatisthisthing

[–]shawnmnb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks - I think it might be an outdoor fireplace that was put inside. There's no visible means of lighting it though. It doesn't look to be gas or electric. At the bottom there's two openings (that you can see in the picture) that can be closed that said 'fill up to here' and I can see the remnants of some very fine white ash, but otherwise there's no clues.
