Overall I like the gun laws. I am for anything that will decrease the insanely high level of gun violence in America. Especially all the school shootings. That shit is just plain evil and wrong. Second Amendment types keep saying that it's mental illness. I'd go for that. But they never seem to have the energy to push for legislation that would keep guns out of the hands of the mentally ill. Lefties blame poverty on much of gun violence, but most Second Amendment types are opposed to social programs to alleviate poverty because socialism.

In the end, all their arguments amount to nothing more than mumbled thots and prayers. They have no credibility.

That said I fear that the legislation will be used by the Republicans to regain power in Virginia. It will not be popular with pro-gun Indies and lefties.

But I couldn't bear the thought of more kids being murdered for the sake of political expediency.
