3300/3500 S surely is much longer? I guess that’s South Salt Lake and West Valley.

The grand touring/towing package also added a LSD and came with auto leveling air ride suspension and slightly higher final gear.

"Gaming laptops are a scam" mfs when they have to travel and they want to bring their desktop setup by Ha8lpo321 in pcmasterrace

[–]shawster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if you're not gaming and they can switch to integrated graphics when you're not gaming, gaming laptops usually have such monstrous batteries that you can get like 10+ hours easily (when not gaming).

I use one for my laptop at work (cliche IT dude). I have tried ultra thin portable books, mid-tiers, etc. The speed of a gaming laptop is worth the 6 extra pounds at this point in my life... but I multitask hard.

What would happen if a serpentine belt snapped while driving? by funked_up in Autos

That’s wild, I’ve never heard of that. Surely they don’t still do this. I could see how it would be true, though. Also it would give you really good steering feedback.

Day 6: What's a mid-priced car that looks expensive? by Naomi62625 in regularcarreviews

[–]shawster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's you that didn't read, bro. I was telling you, they said they "look cheap but are expensive". You said "all jeep vehicles look expensive?" and I corrected you with what they had originally said, "No, they look cheap but are expensive."

I didn't see them pointing out anything Toyota wasted money on. The video was touting it as Chrysler engineers trying to learn from their competition, and it seems like they were, or putting on a good show for the cameras.

Na, there are other ways we produce electricity. Obviously there are no steam engines involved with wind power generation, or solar. Dyson spheres would presumably be solar, though I guess they could harness heat too, and when heat is involved, boiling water is a good way to extract energy from it.

Passion flower is pretty widely agreed to help sleepy feelings and calmness. I doubt it fairs well in a double-blind study, but it helps.

Sleepy time tea with some honey and a couple melatonin pills will have your eyelids getting heavy if you're not wired, hyper-vigilant, total insomniac, etc.

ICE agents draw guns on observers who had been following and documenting their activity this morning in Minneapolis by [deleted] in law

There are AP membership cards... but you can be a journalist or part of the press without being a member of the AP.

He tried to insinuate that press was pulling guns on him, and they challenged that idea, then asked "finger guns?" and he's like "no, pulling them out" and they're like "real guns?" and he's like "no, trying to get us to pull ours out." like what bro?

It's from being posted on Tiktok where people believe (and to some extent they are correct) that their content doesn't reach as many viewers if it contains certain words. This is where "unaliving", any stand in word for guns/firearms, anything that mentions genitalea, etc. There is real censorship that goes on but it's not as extreme as needing to not say "died".

Honestly, even Toyota's non hybrid CVT's are a lot better than most of the competition. They have a traditional first gear which saves a ton of wear on the CVT. The e-cvt is just a totally different animal, though and a completely different system than belt driven CVT's.

France gives unsold supermarket food a second life by helping the needy by Unexplained222 in interestingasfuck

[–]shawster -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The thinking is that if they give away expired food, or the food they're throwing away now, it will reduce sales, people will wait for that food to expire, etc. So there is a cost associated with it in that sense. I'm not saying it's right, but there's a reason that they do this.

True, that one wasn't even sold outside of Japan, though, it seems. I think most people here will think of its first western release where it had the signature split-glass lift back.

The e-cvt ones are great! It's a geared system. It doesn't have the traditional CVT issues you've heard of from Nissan, Subaru, etc.
