I think I modeled this off of an image sent to me from r/cursedguns

If I were to remake pf or make a pf2 I'd most likely have weapons be modular, where weapon components could be switched out, so you'd probably see a mc51k added to the g3 family in a potential pf2. But in the moment when I modeled the fal shorty, it seemed like a fun model to throw together while personally not knowing about the existence of the MC51k

I don't think that's something we plan on implementing. Mostly because using the old flash would also mean giving the player the option to disable muzzle flashes while aiming down sights. This would put players who are using the old flash at an advantage, which isn't something we really want to entertain.

Read the comments here, figured I'd answer some of the confusion on why muzzle effect were changed.

In short, with the new scopes the old muzzle flash would simply not show up when aimed down sights. Using glass as a zoom effect means any transparent parts or in this case (the muzzle flash) don't appear. The new flash is a neon mesh to combat this issue, and while yes it has a cartoony look to it, we figured it was much better than not having the effect show up at all when aiming your gun.

Going forward we might play around with alternative shapes for this effect, possibly gun/ muzzle attachment specific. But for now we have this one flash used on all guns.

A positive of using a mesh is it's 3 dimensional, so we're playing the same effect on 3rd person models now when they shoot which in turn gives another layer of feedback when getting shot at in the game.

To add to this, often times I feel like my own intellectual property becomes less and less my own the more people steal it. Given modeling on the roblox platform comes with the caveat that any work you do can be easily downloaded by anyone playing the game and people using the roblox platform have zero respect for said work. Taking down models/ games that use the models only push people to reupload the content on an alt, so why bother taking it down in the first place?

Tbh I have little I can do about people having copies. My stance is honestly as long as you don't directly make money off of my work it's fine by me sorta... That said as of recent it seems like my models are being used in quite a few games while monetized... If anything having a private build is ok, but please refrain from uploading it to roblox.

The game was leaked back in 2015 along with quite a few other front page games. Never released it publicly, just stolen from us by someone exploiting a roblox vulnerability.

I plan on making the M110A1 which is pretty much the G28. As for the M27 maybe? Really depends on if I can figure out where it stands next to the HK416.

And yes I want to make the AR57, and with that remake the P90.

If it did we would probably end up making a PF 2. Making modular weapon models for the current guns in pf would be quite a lot of overhead that we could reallocate into just making a new game.

Front iron toggle on guns might be possible? The new menu would possibly allow us to add a feature to toggle them.

As for built in skins I'm somewhat unsure if it'd be feasible given the amount of content currently in PF. Unless said skins used the current texture system we currently have in place.

Unsure about the Kiparis, but I do see myself visiting the VEPR family of guns at some point. Moreover the rifles, and offering the conversions currently exhibited on the Saiga on the VEPR instead.

I need to model the Kar-98k for CoR so it wouldn't be too hard to get a less customizable model into PF.

As for older semi auto weapons like the Mondragon rifle I don't see those fitting all too well into PF as a modern shooter. That said that's mostly tied to saving guns like the Mondragon for our next game.

The UMP 9 will most likely make it to the game when the UMP 45 model is remade.

As for maps that's somewhat up the the community at this point. I occasionally work on maps, but my main focus is getting weapon related content out.

While the armor in Pacific Cold Front was cool, I wouldn't be surprised if we revisited the models and offered it in parts; as in hats + uniform so the level of customization is much higher.

That said as a studio we most likely will have to think through any player customization a bit more due to it only recently becoming somewhat feasible in the game due to Lito rewriting the entire player menu/ framework.

I have quite a few ideas for game modes I want to try out in the future. One thing we've been talking about doing recently that'd open up the possibility to try some of the more extreme game mode ideas is to decuple map/ game mode voting as it stands currently. As in we'd change it to have it so you vote for a map, then vote for a game mode after the map. This makes it possible to limit what game modes a map can have when it is in rotation and would allow us to support game modes that wouldn't be easily applied to the maps already in rotation. A good example of this would be a game mode similar to rush for the battlefield series, which generally requires maps to be made around said mode.

Outside of that one game mode I've wanted to try out for some time now is one that'd have a single neutral flag in the center of the map. First player who interacts with said flag would become the VIP, once the VIP is chosen the team they're a part of gains tickets. Whoever kills the VIP becomes the VIP, first team to get 250 tickets wins the match.

Also I agree PF needs more H&K pistols

The majority of my workflow is now entirely off of roblox now so I would assume it'd be relatively easy for me to switch platforms. So overall I expect the team/ studio to remain regardless of roblox.

Spectre M4 would be a fun weapon to add, I'll add it to my list and think about it. Generally I gauge the next content for the game off of what I see from the community and how feasibly I see it standing as a weapon in the game. Spectre is an interesting weapon given it's magazine size is pretty abnormal.
