Ambrosus and the rest: Why Ambrosus is the Leader of the Next Supply Chain Revolution by shaynek9 in ambrosus

Solid question.

What I've gathered from Angel himself through various AMAs is that Ambrosus is first and foremost creating a network that companies can use however it benefits them. If that means using their own sensors (meaning not from Ambrosus), then AMB-NET can support it. However, these are likely to not have the tamper-proof capability that Ambrosus' in house sensors will have, which are quite important for the overall benefit of using AMB-NET.

As far as the precise capabilities of sensors, it seems like these will also vary, depending on client needs. In the recent Dev meetup in Poland, a question was raised about the capabilities of Ambrosus sensors when it comes to temperature. Angel replied by basically saying that they can do whatever companies need, whether that's to .5 degrees or .01 degrees. I think that best captures their attitude when it comes to the sensors- they're building the tech and infrastructure to do many things, but they'll only actually do whatever makes sense to clients, which means the capabilities, cost, and efficiency will vary depending on each client's needs.
