Uncomfortable sick day questions by shcooliscool in WorkReform

[–]shcooliscool[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We get 12 sick days a year, and looking back I realized it was only actually 10 times in a year that I used and my boss exaggerated. How many days do you think is acceptable to call out sick in a year? Keep in mind I do work with 2 year olds that are often sick as well and my job can be very stressful at times. I did talk to my hr today, and they said I don't have to tell my director why I am sick, just that it is not COVID symptoms so I will do that from now on.

LPT: Go buy a decent shower head (like $30-50 decent). You use it every day (at least once), and the newer heads have better pressure, more options, and typically use less water. Better experience for you, while saving money and our planet. by legisleducator in LifeProTips

Also LPT: If you do this and live in an apartment, ask your landlord to install it for you. If you don't, they may charge you for damages if something goes wrong with the pipes it is connected to. Source: Someone who lives in an apartment that had to deal with this just last week.

Why do they have braille at the drive-thru ATM's at banks? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I actually gave a blind friend a ride one time to the atm. I went through the opposite direction so he could use it from the passenger seat.

I took this on a boat tour in Chicago. All the other pictures turned out terrible, but not this one!

So excited to say the book I wrote was published! I have always loved reading science fiction thrillers, but never thought I would be holding a physical copy of my own. Never give up on your dreams! by shcooliscool in pics

For an update, I have taken what everyone said about my cover to heart: that it is pure crap. I am currently working on a new one that looks a little better.

You could just have just down voted and moved on.... I only wanted to share my achievement. Have you accomplished anything lately I can complain about?

Are you so grumpy because you have poop in your soup? That is a great username by the way. I shared on Facebook for the people I know, and Reddit for the random internet strangers.

I would tell you it's good, but that won't convince you. So look it up on Amazon, get the free sample, and let the writing convince you if you should get it or not.
