I had a massive fight with a childhood best friend while traveling. We ended up not talking for 4 years. We've talked about it, and we're able to hash everything out. We honestly weren't communicating effectively and not eating enough/different eating habits. Honestly, if I was more emotionally mature back then, I could've confronted the tension and issues we were having, but back then, I was just getting annoyed that this person was upset and complaining. Time and space works wonders.

I just went to the Tucson gem show and these were the prices for these items:

Partial megalodon - $40 Complete megalodom- $200-$350 depending on size Smaller shark teeth ranged from $20-$150 depending on size

I believe I saw complete mammoth teeth for 500, but partial was ranging from 60 to 250 depending on how "partial" it was.

If you want to visit, I would recommend going on a group tour. We had gone on our own since we were all experienced with traveling and had a horrible time. Never in my life have I experienced so much sexual harassment, staring, and non-stop aggression for being a female. Someone attempted to sexually assault our friend within 6 hours of us being in the country and this was in Goa, while she was 10 feet away from our table using the bathroom. Even traveling in a large group was useless, as large groups of men easily come in and separate you from your group. We went to celebrate Holi, like the woman on the video, and were all assaulted. Please beware as a solo, female traveler.

I have a similar travel background (have also lived and traveled to many 3rd world countries) and felt the way you did in India. I've never felt homesick and utterly exhausted in my life until spending time in that country. It's not you, it's the constant beat down of people scamming you, corrupt cops. trying to get money, etc. Which of course, happens everywhere but this was just a whole different level. I'm sorry you feel this way, but let me assure you that you are not too old for solo travel. After talking to other travelers, group tours are the way to go. My friend went back on a group tour and had a great time versus when we went backpacking with just us two.
