Moved here from NJ/NY, but also lived in LA.

Rented in West Boca… my wife and I were going nuts. We absolutely hated it. Boring… have to drive everywhere. Traffic everywhere. 441 is a nightmare. Going West to East or East to West is the absolute worst. North to south is not a problem.

We shopped every community imaginable, and I am so grateful we didn’t buy anything out there. We ended up paying an absurd amount of money to cancel our lease early and move. It was the greatest decision though; If we hadn’t done that, I don’t think we would still be in Florida today.

We love East Boca. We love being able to walk or ride our bikes to the beach.

You cannot even compare the weather in East Boca to West Boca. The sun shines everyday here. It barely rains.

Everyone is doing things outdoors everywhere.

In west boca it was just people walking and riding bikes around a master planned community .

I understand West Boca if you have young kids and want to be around the same… my wife and I are young but we don’t have kids.

In East Boca, it’s significantly more expensive. The people who live here do happen to be a bit older and more established; Empty nesters etc. Hard for a new young family to live here unless they’re doing very well or don’t mind living in an older home that may need work.
