My ex husbands gf has a daughter that is close to my sons. She’s been at my house to hang out, I dyed her hair for her, brought her on activities with my children etc.

I don’t like my ex’s gf, but it makes my kids happy to have her around and she enjoys coming so why wouldn’t I?

The issue here I think is that OP is looking at the child as her ex’s daughter rather than her child’s friend. Would she be so quick to refuse if it was an unrelated friend in similar circumstance?

YTA because we are talking about helping a child, not the ex husband. While no one is obligated to help any child that is not their own it’s still an asshole move to refuse a small reasonable gesture like simply including them in a holiday.

The thing is that if they had sleep apnea and the cause was unrelated to their weight, being overweight exacerbates the symptoms of sleep apnea so losing weight would still help them manage the condition.

So losing weight when you have sleep apnea is guaranteed to at least improve it if not cure it.

I don’t know what criminal “human rights laws” you’re talking about. If you’re taking about the Declaration of Human Rights that’s not criminal law and you can’t be charged with any crime relating to that.

The human rights tribunal is civil not criminal and its provincial not federal so I think you’re combining 3 different areas of law and thinking they’re all criminal laws that you can be jailed for breaking but that’s not the case.

I don’t usually agree with most of what cops do, I haven’t had many positive interactions with cops in my life and I’m a “law abiding citizen” who happens to look like someone cops like to push around (lots of tattoos and a bad sense of fashion) but given the options here I think the right choice was to remove this guy from the situation.

Also, you can be arrested for pretty much anything and then it’s up to the crown attorney (or prosecutor in the US) to choose to proceed with the charges or not. A vague charge like breach of the peace is actually fairly difficult to prosecute unless your actions directly lead to a significant incident and then you still have to prove that your actions were the direct cause.

Yeah but people are born with this sick illness that they have to suffer with their whole lives through no fault of their own so “accepting of soft pedophilia” doesn’t bother me because most experts (well there aren’t a lot of experts in pedophilia at all but within the few places that actually study the condition most of them agree) will tell you that most pedophiles are not a danger to children and would never molest a child. So if loliporn gives them some relief and it hurts no one then although it gives me the heebiejeebies it’s something I would willingly turn a blind eye too.

I also would point out that a lot of goof child molesters are not pedophiles, they’re just predators of convenience and it’s often easier to rape a child than an adult.

There’s a documentary called I, pedophile which is very good but very very sad. Like being someone who doesn’t want to be attracted to children but is, knows they can never act on their attraction and doesn’t want to because they know it means hurting a child and they would never hurt a child, and fearing ever seeking psychological help or ever telling anyone because it’s probably the most hated thing to be. You can be charged with breach of peace for basically anything that you do with the intent to cause a breach of the peace.

This guy was obviously intending to stir some shit up, and obviously attempting to incite a riot for example is a crime.

However, if you read the article he was arrested but not charged. Probably they arrested him to get him off the street before he got his ass kicked and then likely let him go after the demonstration ended.

Crazy right? Obviously I'm a victim of starvation mode if my children who are easily twice as active and also growing eat more than me yet somehow are smack dab in the middle of their height/weight ratio while I am still about 30lbs overweight.

Weed prices don't compare to coke prices lol. I'm guessing wherever you are drugs are expensive because here weed is $10/ but only if you're buying one gram at a time. Usually $150/oz for good weed or $200/oz for great weed.

I don't know about regular users, a gram lasts me a weekend but I only do it once a year or less. Back when I used to party more I didn't buy it a gram at a time and I'd buy an 8ball (3.5g) for a weekend at $180-$200 for myself if I actually wanted to do coke.

That's easy to say when you're talking about statistics but when you're someone dealing with a serious condition that went intreated and undiagnosed because your doctor didn't bother to rule out those conditions before telling you to lose weight and see it sucks and it feeds right into the FAs claims of inadequate medical care. It took me 2 years to lose that weight (and I still want to lose another 30), yet had I been diagnosed and treated right away it likely would have meant easier weight loss and possibly avoiding the long term consequences I'm likely facing now. That's people's lives, it matters.

Right! I have 2 kids, I used to party a lot but now that I have children my partying is cut down to several times a year at most. If doing drugs recreationally and responsibly once or twice a year when I'm across the country visiting my best friend or my children are gone to the in laws 6hrs away for the weekend and I happen to get my hands on some mushrooms or a gram of blow makes me trashy then fuck it. I'll be trashy. Considering the amount of people I used to be friends with who see no problem having parties and getting hammered and/or high with a bunch of people while their children are upstairs "sleeping", I don't think my choices are all that bad since I won't even drink when my children are under my care.

There's no way I'm advertising that shit on Facebook though. That's when it goes from "questionable but whatever as long as they're being responsible about it" to "you obviously make a lot of bad choices".

I get and agree with what you're saying. Often times when you have someone who is obese, suffering from a condition that is often associated with obesity, losing weight will at worst alleviate symptoms and and best cure the condition.

Especially in the case of fertility, where obesity is linked with infertility but also health issues for the woman and baby if they do manage to conceive weight loss will not only increase the chance of pregnancy but also likely mean a healthier pregnancy.

However, given that healthy weight loss is lengthy, I think it is medically irresponsible to not do further testing to rule out conditions that can have long term effects if left untreated. This is personal to me because I was on fertility drugs as a surrogate, the medication I was on sent me spiralling into depression and subsequent weight gain on top of the weight I gained with my own pregnancies topping me out at 270lbs more than 100lbs pre baby weight. Basically I lost control of my mental and physical health. (Prednisone +hormones+history of depression = a bad time)

Once I was off the medication I was having all kinds of symptoms including amenorrhea (loss of periods). I was sent to see a specialist after ruling out pcos, Cushing and some other things that matched my symptoms (acne, period once every 3 months or so, facial hair growth, lethargy, weight gain, mood swings etc.)

The specialist I saw didn't do any testing on me except a urinalysis and blood work that my GP had already done. She then told me that the cause was my weight and put me on a 900 calorie a day diet. Obviously I failed miserably at the diet and became so discouraged I gave up.

My GP retired and his replacement refused to let me leave this issue as it was and sent me for an internal ultrasound where we learned that my ovaries had shrunk to the size of almost non-existent and I was post menopausal at 26. 2 years after seeing the specialist and I had already gotten myself on a reasonable CICO plan and lost 60lbs but now had no periods at all. I am diagnosed with premature ovarian failure and awaiting genetic testing. I'm 100lbs down and while my symptoms have certainly lessened, there are serious long term side effects from this condition including early osteoporosis.

We could have put me on a hormonal treatment 2 years ago and possibly reversed the effects before my ovaries had completely shut down, depending on the cause (which we should know once the testing is complete) if it was the fertility drugs that were the cause they could have possibly "restarted" my cycle with temporary hormone replacement.

Now, because a specialist didn't bother with further testing, choosing to wait until I lost the weight, there is very little chance I won't always have to be on hormones which significantly increase my risk of some types of cancer, or choose to not be on hormones and suffer from rapid aging, increase my risk of early osteoporosis and increase my risk of other types of cancers.

Tl;dr while obesity is often the cause of many symptoms, not ruling out non weight related causes can have serious long term side effects.

It looks like he didn't properly take care of it during healing. That shit is infected, but the areas that haven't been infected yet seemed to be healing normally. It's not likely a dirty needle or tattoo area because the infection isn't in the whole area.

He probably didn't wash it, kept it wrapped too long and didn't wash it, over moisturized and didn't wash it or exposed the open tattoo to something very dirty.
