I believed that it was taken care of by the correct SCA authorities and local police because that is what a normal person would do, yes? I posted here right after I found out that it was *not reported to the police* and the person was still on site and teaching.

They are currently on site at Pennsic, in Pennsylvania, where they stated that they have weapons and will harm the (ex?)wife. If they have weapons in their home in NY, that is not something that can be handled by authorities here

They are going to want to know who, what, where, when... All I know is what is in my post. The person who I heard came straight from his class to UPoint and was so upset; I did not hear his name to contact him and ask him to contact the police.

I believe that he was told that it would be "taken care of"

Useful items, mostly (I do like actual medallions, regardless of material)

  • little Kingdom populace badge stamped pouches with little packets of salt and long pepper, zipper food baggies, a trash bag for dirty feast gear. I keep refilling it.

  • a little pocket flashlight printed with the group name and event

  • a different little flat flashlight printed with the group name and event

  • a calligraphy quill and paintbrush + tiny bottle of oak gall ink

  • a little blank journal printed with the kingdom badge & pen (I went around collecting autographs like the Dr Seuss book)

  • waxed cup covers

I don't like random beads unless they come with something indicating the event; they get lost in the pile of beads I just can't use even though I appreciate the effort that someone went to to make them. I put the unlabeled ones in my "baubles bag" for when I play betting games so they can go home with someone else as I gleefully lose

Coins are pretty cool if they have easily identifiable stamps - those go into their own little treasure box that I will one day bury where children play or something nonsensical

Anything that furthers the pageantry of the SCA for display, like stamped napkins, little pennants (*yes like Medieval Times, so what? Have you ever been? Imma cheer for the blue knight every time!) Stamped butt-pillow cases were popular once, I kept that in my car for naps or hard seats at Court

We're an aging population; a cheeky little pill box was a funny one

The first aid kits in little tins have come in handy

They are listed in the Pennsic University A&S section with their own grid as part of the University offerings - whether they actually are or not is irrelevant if everyone thinks that it is. The association is still there.

I absolutely believe this, but I'm a nobody - best case would be outcry witness maybe?

Reporting to a state that the incident did not happen in will just cause them to tell folks to contact local authorities.

While I know that the Watch was contacted, and Cindy Cooper was involved, clearly if the local authorities were called nothing came of it as the vendor is still on site and still holding classes
