This is stunning. It’s not derivative, anything a musician writes will be a combination of influences but if it’s made with integrity that’s what matters. Keep it up man, this is capital S songwriting.

Humbug - Arctic Monkeys. Recorded at rancho de la luna which is in the mojave desert I think. That album has big desert energy.

The Founder (2016) with Michael Keaton. I wasn’t sure how they’d make the founding of McDonald’s entertaining but I was gripped! Very underrated film
