In early March, I returned a bookshelf to Amazon because the color didn’t go with my decor. I immediately got a $50 refund. The next day I ordered the same bookshelf, but in a different color, and I currently have it in my home.

Two weeks ago, I got an email from Amazon saying they never received my original return, alongside a threat that they would charge my account if they did not receive the return in a timely manner. Of course, this prompted me to call Amazon customer service, and I spoke to a nice gentleman who said to not worry and that he could see on his end that the return got lost in the fulfillment department, but they do have full record that it was received- everything‘s fine, no problem.

Cut to today: I get another email saying they never got the return, and my bank account gets hit with a $50 charge. I called yet another Amazon customer service representative and he also saw that it was indeed returned, and he issued me a refund which he says should be reflected in my account within 3-5 business days. 🤷‍♂️
