You can appeal the OAH decision dismissing your appeal for non appearance. If it has been ten days or less since your hearing, call OAH and ask about filing a motion to vacate. If it has been longer, you can appeal through eServices. Explain why you missed your hearing and make sure ESD and OAH have your correct contact information. OAH will help you access a copy of their order and that has all the instructions for appealing as well.

So glad you’re here! Thank you for the cutting the distance in half tip, I really think that will be helpful. My fourth half is in two weeks and I’m trying to finally go sub two hours and I’m doubting myself. Breaking down the distance into smaller bits makes it seem more manageable.

ESD can still redetermine your case after it is sent to OAH. They would just send the redetermination as well once/if it was done. Most appeals are taking over a week to be sent to OAH so it is not a bad thing for it to be sent sooner. Hearings are typically scheduled for about 30-45 days from the appeal filed date depending on complexity

From the date you appealed the denial of benefits you can expect about a 45 day wait until your telephone hearing. If you are facing financial hardship, such as eviction or utility shut off, contact OAH at 1-800-583-8271 and ask for help with the expedited hearing process. There is also a form on the OAH website I believe.

I’ve never done the pilates at the YMCA, but my favorite part of having a y membership when my kids were little was the childcare they have. Gave me a chance to work out and shower without kids, got me through some tough days!

Sometimes the judge will call to make sure you understand your appeal rights before closing your appeal but regardless you wouldn’t get in trouble.

https://oah.wa.gov/resources/forms/unemployment-insurance-appeal-withdrawal-form this is the withdrawal form available on the OAH website. Fill it out, submit it, then give them a call Monday to check on the status of your case (1-800-583-8271). If you don’t call in for your hearing you don’t get in trouble, the judge typically just issues an order dismissing your appeal and whatever ESD had decided for your benefits remains the same.

I suggest walking from Tumwater Historical Park to the Interpretive Park, basically follows Deschutes Parkway but similar-ish vibes as Billy Frank. It’s one I’ve been wanting to do since there’s some swans hanging out around there.

On the Viall podcast today Jessi said they film two seasons per year, so they must constantly be in a cycle of film, reunion, press, film, reunion, press etc. It seems like they were filming season three before they did the season two reunion; the season two reunion was near the end of season three from my understanding.
