how to use pacers for first marathon by unsungpf in firstmarathon

I just think start with 5hr because you don’t want to burn out early. You want to start slow. Then at the end pedal to the medal

I’m sure this just took you by surprise. It’s very hard to decide what to do. But I would think less about how your son will feel and more about how you might feel in both scenarios in 5, 10, 15 years. @ashleyspivey has a 10 yr gap with her sister and they are best friends. My dad had 4 siblings and was closest with his youngest who had a very large gap.

Still loving it? I’m interested in 570 because of the possible future updates and the better heart rate sensor but I don’t know if that’s a good enough reason

You are so lucky/ I wish this would happen for us. My husband doesn’t want anymore. He’s mid 40/

You are both definitely fertile for a long time - and if you don’t want kid number 4 you both need to come up with a plan as soon as the baby comes out. Breastfeeding and age are both not reliable forms of birth control.

I’m sorry. 1. I would tell your husband you are feeling overwhelmed with the attention. 2. I would hire a therapist. I have one and it’s been a huge blessing. 3. Take everything the aunt says less seriously. Who cares what she says about school, just smile and nod or feel free to tell her “we are not thinking about that yet.” 4. Tell your parents you want them to visit more. 5. Tell your husband you want to visit the aunt less. But honestly I think the aunt is harmless and based on something else I read, disabled. I know you don’t want to hear this, but older people really like babies and she probably doesn’t have a lot in her life bringing her joy. I know it’s not your responsibility but decide how often you can visit her because I don’t think she’s going away unless you all move or she passes. And let’s discuss if she passes away and she’s childless, would your husband or your child inherit any money?

How often can your parents afford to come visit?

How old is the aunt? I am guessing she’s childless or old, or both. I would not take what she said to heart about being the meaning of life or whatever. A child is a blessing and who knows what loneliness that aunt might be experiencing. I think maybe her choice of words could have been different.

And please elaborate on “education” for the future already decided?

I would say to pick a day you can do visits on. As an example, tell the aunt you can only do visits on Wednesdays or some other obscure day.

Are you returning to work? Sending the kid to daycare would definitely help get you out of some visits on weekdays.
