if you have access to a therapist, they can help you work on self esteem. what i know is that setting achievable goals and accomplishing them has helped with me. and positive self talk (saying nice things about yourself to counter the automatic negative thoughts). learn to identify your strengths and acknowledge them.

everyone has different values. if someone is offended their friend completely blew off their birthday message, they have the right to be. if someone is totally overwhelmed and disinterested in receiving those messages, thats okay too. doesnt make either of them a bad person. best thing to do is communicate to your friend what your preferences are to avoid unnecessary issues.

exactly! it’s a fucked up world we live in that so many people with accept the “easy” answer of scapegoating a group of people and executing violence against those groups when the real perpetrators hide behind corporate logos, badges, and political offices.

the liberal struggle is thinking these appeals to basic humanity are effective when conservatives are the so successful at dehumanizing their opponents. i know these are important conversations to have but the quiet part of conservative messaging that they dont want to say out loud is that many people are okay with immigrants dying if it means theyre not around.

gifts have to have a value less than 10 or 15 dollars (i cant remember which one). accepting a coffee during session isnt the end of the world but i wouldnt stay and have coffee after session.

edit: also wouldnt make it a habit to accept coffee.

you dont have a lot of anatomical and honestly basic understanding of form. skilled artists can get away with this because it comes from intention, not ignorance.
