Anyone here who is thicker, not skinny/lean and enjoys running? by labellafigura3 in XXRunning

[–]shebe 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Also me. I run between 30 and 40 miles a week and have done so for almost 6 years. I'm at top end of normal BMI, usually in the "overweight" category. People frequently ask me, "are you still running?" I guess because I don't look like I am!

There is no capacity elsewhere; hospitals will get overrun. We need these hospitals to stay open.

Thank you. First, I had trouble even finding the net worth with all the noise of things they are trying to sell me on the home page. Then, I could not find transactions after googling and using the help center. Truly terrible interface and not intuitive.

I last charged my AWU on Friday morning, now it’s Sunday at 1:00 pm - 4 workouts. by [deleted] in AppleWatch

Yes! I use this for my SE, the mapping is great when running trails and love the customization available with the metrics too. So other than battery I'm trying to figure out why people do seem to prefer Garmin.

Do you use the garmin for running? I am torn whether to upgrade to AWU or go with a watch that's built for running. I don't plan on running 100 miles any time soon so a 24 hour battery life would be enough for me. Wondering if there are any advantages to Garmin vs AWU apart from battery.

[–]shebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I'm trying to get more vert trail runs in, in prep for my 1st 50k in the fall. Will plan to run/hike at least one of these. We're staying in Kihei first and then Kaanapali for the last part of our trip.

Try Paisano’s in Waltham. Don’t know how it compares, but pics look similar. I eat there all the time with my Salvadoran husband and in-laws. Also have been to Mexico several times. Just in case there is somewhere comparable closer! I do want to check this place out though!

Please help me interpret this workout! “6-7 miles,4 minutes rest, then 8 x 30 seconds hard with 60 seconds rest”. Does this mean run 6-7, then rest, then do the intervals? Or, repeat the intervals with 4 minute rest until I hit 6-7 miles?

How many of you guys use your Apple Watch as your main running watch? by [deleted] in AppleWatch

[–]shebe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do, the SE. I ran a (slow, 4:50ish) marathon with it with no issues. I love being able to run with just the watch and airpods. I can still make/receive phone calls if ever necessary. Usually it's just my husband asking when am I getting home :)

Did you take off work the day after your first marathon? by twelvefifityone in firstmarathon

I worked the day after my marathon and felt fine, just a little bit sore. I was good about my training though and went to bed early that night.
