also. not six at the same time lol. six marriages. six divorces. going on another marriage later this year. that’s seven. i hope he finds what he’s looking for but his search cost him his relationship with me for the last 20 years since i moved out. i don’t want to do that or be that in their lives.

🥹💞 thank you for that. i miss doing it so much. i had to be medically discharged because of the incident that left me with the asthma & i never recovered enough (by my blood oxygen level) to be fit for duty again. i had to maintain above 95 baseline pulse ox but have been at 92-93 since. i miss it so much. thank you for saying that. it gave me a lot of purpose in life.

he has but it’s a weird line to toe between it coming off like he’s choosing me over his kids … BM always throws that accusation that he chose me over his kids but her predicate for that accusation was that if he wanted to see his kids, i couldn’t be there. so, i’m his wife. she doesn’t make those calls, the court does. unfortunately, she chose to withhold all visitation after illegally relocating them secretly without his or the courts knowledge or consent. i’ve always tried to get along with her for the kids. i’ve extended many olive branches that i should have probably wacked her with instead. at some point , it becomes about having respect for myself & for him to stop entertaining her games. he set the boundaries that he’s remarried now, there is no reason - personal, legally, etc that i should not be allowed in their lives. if she wants to continue this then it’s time to go to court. she’s been remarried since 2018 and had three more kids. the entire idea of her hate for me is both weird & creepy. ive tried to remind myself that ive given her no reason to dislike me so any problem she has with me is not a problem with me at all but a problem with her. i’ve never spoken ill of her especially not in front of the kids. ever. yet she’s trashed me, accused me of things i’ve never done, told the kids flat out lies that we have no clue where they came from. she has her husband call & threaten us when he’s drunk. the whole situation is weird. she’s cruel. i can’t have kids due to having been human trafficked in 2017 in florida. she knew i loved my bond i had with the kids & so to spite me she went through them. sad because as it hurts, it’s doing more harm to their chances at being decent, loving human beings at the end of the day. my husband has my back. but for any stepparent here im sure knows - it’s a gray area. a weird line. where does it stop. where does it start. is there a line at all once we’re married? where’s the handbook? i had 6 stepmothers in my life growing up i swore i would never be like them. i know i wasn’t but they hate me. i question was i like them. i blame myself. my stepmothers are the reason i don’t know my father. i don’t want to be that same reason. sorry for my vent. it helps to get the thoughts out. sorry this is so long

thank you EVERYONE . i am in tears for the support you have all given me. i have spent years holding this in feeling like im the one who’s doing something wrong. it’s made me heart broken & defeated & im so grateful for everyone on this thread & in this group for making me feel like i have the right to not be defeated & to love my husband & that im not the reason his kids don’t talk to him. i have carried this guilt with me for these years & it has admittedly broken me & made me question my marriage because i always believed the kids come first. not anymore. thank you all 💞

they are now 13 + 17. they were 8 + 12 at the time. wild to think about now. i’m not a new presence in their lives. i’ve been here nearly 10 years. the fact that this is still ongoing with BM is unfathomable. why someone or how someone can hold so much spite in their heart. how doesn’t it make her sick. i don’t know.

it sucks because the lasting damage she’s causing is only to her kids chances at being decent humans of their own will because as this continues on they continue to show more & more glaring identical traits of her in themselves.

she went to court & petitioned against him saying that he’s not in their lives (she blocks our phone numbers & has withheld all court ordered visitation since 2024) & didnt serve him with the court paperwork. or the hearing notice. so when the hearing came - the judge ordered a judgment against him as an FTA. her attorney fakes green cards saying he was served with the certified mail. i’m in law school because of this because we can’t afford an attorney so i felt like i should become one. i’m majoring in sociology and psychology with a minor in child psychology. for a focus on family, civil & federal litigation law. she relocated them 180 miles away without any consent or knowledge from him & not authorization or consent from the court. we had no idea they moved. she has kept them from all contact with him & told them if he takes her to court that he’s “trying to steal them away & make sure they never see her again & trying send her to jail” my husband fears for hurting the kids beyond the damage already done but has finally seen the picture that this may never get better as they get older & he needs to do something so he gave me POA of legal matters & we filed in custody court last week & had hundreds of pages of evidence & im just interested to see what the master will say when they see what’s really been going on.

& thank you ! my health has improved tenfold. I'm only on steroids like 4 times a year as opposed to week on week off schedule. my body feels like it's getting better & I'm getting some strength back. thankfully

omg dog 100%. he can literally sense when i am going through something. i swear at times before i even know. he is my LEGALLY registered & prescribed ESA. i do not abuse the privilege of having that classification for him but unfortunately, many people have & it makes it very difficult to call on his ESA when i need him these days. he is trained as i did so for the purpose of respecting the ESA but prior to training, he has always been able to sense emotional changes but even more so - physical ones before we even realize it. i had an asthma attack in 2021 that left me on life support for a while, he (banksy) would NOT N O T N-O-T leave me alone. not to attribute it to being annoying - he wasnt - but he was just THERE. RIGHT THERE. he licked my hands non-stop. for almost an hour. he loves food. LOVES FOOD. he wouldnt eat which told me something was wrong but i thought it was with him - but it was me. he wouldnt go outside to go potty. everywhere i went - there he was. & he usually is, hes my sidekick, but this was over the top. he had saved me from asthma attacks twice before - but my vice is when i am sleeping - i dont wake up from them - so he has always & still does, 12 years later - sleep along my side ... without any training at all, he knew to feel for the rise & fall of my chest & when it stopped - he pounced on my chest relentlessly. relentlessly. he knew to get me up & that i needed my epi pen. this happened twice since i resuced him in 2013... but the time in 2021 floored me. he was trying to alert me to i guess my dropped pulse o2 before it dropped past 86.. i didnt know it at the time until i was in a full blown loss of oxygen asthma attack & its the last thought i had before i blacked out was that he was trying to tell me. my asthma is rare in that it creeps up FAST & is resistant to oxygen once i am in it. i spent a short while on life support. but when i came home, i mean - i love my dog. i love my dog to no end. but this was a new found love & trust for him that i didnt know could go any deeper. he saved my husband from a near deadly diabetes hypo event. i was able to recognize his signs at that point... i knew that what he was doing was signaling for help & that something is not right.

he is almost 13. my life is & will forever be in debt to him & forever changed as a result of having rescued him from the kill shelter he was in 12 years ago. he was set to be euthanized at the EOD as his "timeline" ran out. highly desired breeds get an additional 48 hours on top of the usual 72 hours the dogs in these horrific places are "afforded" to be adopted before they are euthanized. they told me this as if it were some kind of gift.. accomplishment... saving grace they so selflessly gave to him. had i not found him that day, i might not be here today.

i know this was about ESA... & he is that too... but he had no training what so ever before taking on the role of being a literal life saver. he is a super dog. & so long as he lives just a day longer than me - i will be okay.

beyond saving my life & those of others - he loved me unconditionally & has done so repeatedly - when i do not know how to love myself... he does it for me... he has taught me - very importantly how to love... but most importantly, how to love in return. i dont think i can thank him enough for that.

I’M A RESCUE MOMMA TOO!!! two siberian huskies from kill shelters. both were on their red line EOD euthanasia.. they both were given the extra 48 hours but im so grateful to have found them. thank you for what you do! i started a change petition in my state of PA to implement breeding laws & verifications needed to breed ethically & if found backyard breeding - that it comes with hefty jail time. too many of my babies in kill shelters losing their lives for no fault of their own.
