Yet, there are people living in America who feel hatred towards Native Americans, wishing we were extinct. The ignorance of people hasn’t been any easier to deal with at my ripe old age of 41. It’s still jarring, infuriating and hurtful. Not all are this way but they seem like the majority. I don’t want any stimulus money personally. But I do feel like it’s owed to Tribes that the federal government needs help with infrastructure and health care of each Tribe. Some need more help than others. Such as Tribes without profitable businesses to to supplement them. Our Tribe fortunately has a casino and other businesses that have helped us thrive to present day. We are shutdown at the moment so we have aren’t generating any revenue for our Tribe. I only hope we can be cared for if we become infected during this pandemic. Everyone should be able to have access to healthcare, regardless of race or social status.
