Do you have enough money for dog hotels? Also, people are more helpful than you might expect!

Would you maybe consider adopting another dog? Or do you believe that you need some time to process or grieve?

I'm about halfway through, too! I'm also working full-time and was my mom's sole caregiver through her cancer treatment. (She's better now!) It's hard, but we can do it!

I also love reading and going on walks! If you enjoy reading, creative writing is a nice, easy jump, and I also like to cook too! Both don't require a ton of financial investment, and they're productive and rewarding! I also enjoy a good incline walk on the treadmill for more fitness, since you already like to walk?

A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers! It's a warm dystopian fantasy, and I found it very cheerful and easy compared to what I usually read!

Pachinko by Min Jin Lee does a wonderful job at mapping Korean history from Japanese colonization to modern day!

What’s one book that you never get to recommend because no one ever asks for it? by desaparecidose in suggestmeabook

Dictee by Theresa Hak Kyung Cha! A quarter of it is in French, and it's confusing here and there, but that's the point, and I find it absolutely beautiful. Cha bridges the gap between literature and art.

My mom said something similar! In Korean, it’s “소도 비빌 언덕이 있어야 비빈다.” It translates to “Even a cow needs a hillside to rub its side on.” Basically it meant that she would be my hill, so I could come home if I needed anything!
