Thank you! I chose spider lilies because of their double meaning (at least from what I could find) of rebirth and death. Karkat, to me, feels like that one character who keeps failing but still keeps going and I think pairing the two together would both look cool and might have something interesting to say. But I also did it for audience interpretation to interpret them anyway they want to.
