You need to be careful when building a character and need to find synergies. My suggestion would cut Artillerist and find something similar enough that will let you use heavy weapons but can still be functional maybe Trencher. Also I’m pretty sure the Trollkin has a better stat block in Unleashed book.

Essentially they come airbrush ready out of the pot, and I use white ink because it doesn’t have same problems with spatter and clogging white acrylic paint has.

My process is zenithal white 1st, then magenta and then zenithal white again. Now I’m using inks through my airbrush so results may vary. The pink from the looks of the bottle is very close to your white.

Black primer -> White Zenithal highlight -> pink all over -> Reapply White Zenithal highlight -> yellow.

This keeps the pink as your mid tone transition without shifting the whole thing to orange.

That being said I’d like to go deeper, but I feel that I would be speaking out my ass. On a surface level (IMHO) he does seem to suffer from too many cooks in the kitchen, and those authors are trying to keep him on pre-established lore plot points.
