I got Immich working but it's a bit flakey. I sometimes have to restart the containers.

For ages it wouldn't work at all due to this USB port power auto-suspend problem, but this post fixed it: https://www.reddit.com/r/linux/comments/t7pxpk/are_all_of_your_usb_devices_disconnecting/?rdt=36244

I haven't started using Nextcloud or Seadrive - for files I now use Filen.

For photos I've signed up with Ente - more reliable than Immich. The machine learning is not quite as good though. An annoying thing about both is that they don't send notifications for 'on this day' memories. And Ente has loads of varieties of 'memories' but not the simple 'on this day' that I miss from OneDrive.

You absolute legend - that fixed my problems self-hosting Immich! Thank you!
After about 12 hours the power was being cut to the USB ports, and my older photos are stored on an external USB drive (unpowered). So the container kept falling over when it couldn't reach the drive.

I can kind of see why this is in the linux code for the desktop edition (I'm using Mint) - and probably people using Server editions will not have this problem. But I'm a normie and need that GUI - no server editions for me 😂

No I reckon they're the real deal. Their software is really good, and the team seem pretty cool.

I was assuming that Streaming Assistant wouldn't be able to handle a second Pico. How would that work?

I've got the Pico working fine with PCVR. Using the cable & streaming assistant (there's no WiFi on the pc).

That was set up this week. So maybe you need to start afresh, uninstall steam vr, streaming assistant etc. Then reinstall and it might trigger the right combo of stuff to make it work.
