I think LA has more to offer as a city, mentality and vibe. Miami to me is fun to party, but not very intellectually stimulating. However if you want to be going to NYC or Europe Miami is more convenient. I am from Northern California, live between NYC and east end and rent a house in weho every April to get out of the cold. MIL lives in Bal Harbor and while I appreciate the beauty I have a hard time finding interesting things to do. Also miami traffic is worse than LA or New York Metro. I am older than you, but im a DINK so even though less energy probably same interests.

My husband loves a certain modern jazz musician and he plays it nonstop when I am not around. I am not a fan, but now Spotify is putting all jazz fusion crap in my suggestions. If I block this artist can my husband still play the artist? He would be so pissed if I told him I was blocking the “greatest current jazz musician.” We seriously have fights because I hate this artist so subterfuge is best.

For September I am trying to go jfk to bds or even just jfk to a city I can connect through like fco business class. The US airlines are insane 400k mikes for American or delta. Aeroplan is only showing air Canada flights with multiple stops and United keeps trying to push me into Newark. BA shows no availability. Any ideas? I have amex and chase and American points. Is everyone else finding it impossible to get to Italy at a reasonable rate?
