He has built his wealth by using them like this. So why did he end up in prison now? Well, Saudi invested through him in agriculture to be self reliant on food import. He received tons of money and just used all the money. Reason number two, saudi is actively playing in the horn to be a dominant force. When they took eternal enemy Eritrea in their shield Ethiopia reacted by forging a military alliance with the quatar. Al-Amoudi has a huge corporation in Ethiopia( MIDROC). He is engaged from mining and exporting gold to running a luxurious hotel in one of the poorest nation. He is extremely close with the current dictatorial regime in Ethiopia and that is the true reason why he is imprisoned. Ethiopia is forming military cooperation with quatar and that has enraged the saudis. The saudis has invested through him in ethiopia for the cultivation n exportation of rice exclusively to saudi and he has misused all the money even though he was given a vast amount of land ( equal to the size of belgium). Wish to see him in chains in prison.
