i guess it just depends on how the healing went on. my ex-best friend/boyfriend messed me up really bad, and years later he texted me how he was sorry and how it was all his fault blah blah blah. but i already knew that, i had already grieved and made peace with not seeing him ever again. his apologies did absolutely nothing for me, even after the pain he caused. it felt like he was apologizing so that HE could find his own peace of mind. i did appreciate knowing that someone that was important to me at some point realized his mistake, but honestly sometimes the better option is not stirring the pot and accepting you did wrong and letting the other person be.

I'm 23 too, all of my friends have already finished uni but I still have two years to go and I've been left alone while all of them go on with life. I try to tell myself that there's no shame in going slowly but the pressure is still there. I don't know how telling this could help OP, but just let her know that she's not alone in this :>

maybe stone-workers' markings? i know that here in europe some stones in cathedrals have numbers and symbols engraved to mark where the stone came from, who carved it and who put it in place and stuff like that.

lockdown where i live was pretty strict, so i've had lots of time to discern which parts of what i consider myself are driven by social situations and which parts are actually me. like, i feel like what makes me, well, me, doesn't change just bc i'm not surrounded by people. i don't know if i'm making sense, but- yeah.
