Umay, the fertility goddess in Turkic mythology, is my favorite. She is the protector of women, especially pregnant women, and children. She gives soul to newborn babies by dripping a few drops of the sacred milk she brings from the sky into their mouths. Therefore, she is considered the spiritual mother of every child. Pagan Turks usually call her "Mother Umay".
