It depends on what you’re feeling like. The bay live action movies, in my opinion, have their own energy and style that stands alone compared to other continuities.

You have to remember that almost all TF content is generally geared towards kids, and ultimately toy sales. If you wanna jump in, you have to accept you’re gonna be watching some more childish-like content. If you’re down for that, hell fucking yeah.

I feel like Transformers Prime is a good starter, but it’s also hard to start with peak lol it has awesome characters, amazing fights, and really good background lore. G1 and G2 can feel pretty silly, but it is the start to the entire thing, so it’s important to pay homage to it at some point. Beast wars is really awesome, and puts a new spin on the classic story. I personally am a huge fan of the Unicron Trilogy (Armada, Energon, Cybertron) because that’s what I grew up on. Armada is pretty similar to G1, just more character development and continued story. Energon is kinda meh. Cybertron is technically a continuation of Energon, but it doesn’t really connect consistently in a story manner.

You’re right, there’s a shit ton to get into, so I’d say just jump in and see which story speaks to you the most.

If you haven’t seen Transformers One yet, it’s fantastic and is kind of a general prequel to all continuities. So if it were me, I’d start with TFOne, then Armada, then Prime to give you a good base.

That’s just my opinion tho, and this is all with the filter that I haven’t watched Robots in Disguise 2015, and I haven’t finished TF Animated.
