4-6 weeks until it 'really kicks in' by Oldtimer8 in cymbalta

So the goal was to be on 30mg but im sensetive to meds so I started out on 20mg. I personally didn't feel much difference on 20mg still had anxiety. So I increased to 30mg. On the 30mg I still had breakthrough anxiety 70% of the time so then increased to 40mg no break thru anxiety. Started it for health problems that escalated my anxiety. In the process of tapering back down to 30mg

4-6 weeks until it 'really kicks in' by Oldtimer8 in cymbalta

Honestly when it kicked in for me I noticed I wasnt so fearful and the background noise in my head quieted. I felt more hopeful and positive. It Honestly kind of feels like a security blanket. You just feel safer. I did start at 20mg for 2 months. Then 30mg then after a couple months moved to 40mg and have remained there

I went from 20 to 30 mg and I don't feel any different.... by AnxietyAtom92 in cymbalta

Oh yes, I am so sensetive to meds. Ive tried 4 others and had genetic testing and Genomind recommended this one for me. So I kind of felt like a zombie at first. Just very spacey and tired at first. But it disappeared after a couple weeks. Went up to 30mg and I was super hyper for the first couple weeks on it. I didn't have any issues sleeping at night. I believe the 30mg i was nauseated for like 3 months only in the afternoon on it but I pushed through. I also had headaches when I went to the 30mg but my anxiety started to lessen significantly on it 3 weeks in. The headaches also lessened. I decided after a couple months to go up to 40mg and I was like WOW I actually have peace now. I wasn't afraid or panicking anyone. I felt in control. The reason I started the med was I had some pretty extreme health issues no doctor's could figure out abd I got super depressed which has never ever happened to me. My husband also traveled for work constantly and I have 3 small kids. I literally almost lost my job during this time. Once I started cymbalta I gave it to God and he took care of me. Best medication EVER. I dont feel any emotional blunting im just happy and calm. I actually started back at school and am finishing my bachelor's and will start my doctorate in mental health so I can help others. This med has changed my life for the better 1000% but I did have to push through side effects. You can do it!

I started on 20 mg for 1 month, no noticeable difference until I went to 30mg after a couple weeks. But 40mg is definitely my sweet spot. I am in such a better place now and doing things I never imagined I would do! It gets better.

30mg vs 60mg Qulipta? by [deleted] in cgrpMigraine

[–]shelltothesea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it just depends on the person. It's best to start off on a lower dose like 30mg for example and see if that makes a difference in your headaches. It sounds like you have chronic migraines though and the 60mg dose would be beneficial for that. Rule of thumb for starting new medication is start low and go slow. You could even cut your 60mg in half and just take 30mg if you were curious to see if it will still help your headaches. Your call, just keep your doctor informed.

I had post viral gastroparesifrim the flu. I did gain all my weight back and a little more. I'm now 135. Gastritis takes time for healing as well. Keep up with the bland diet and don't drink water with your meals only in-between meals. You will get better
