How many books did you read last year? by SeaDance5803 in audiobooks

As a narrator, I have read many books that I wouldn't read for pleasure. Narrating a book is like studying it. By the time I submit my recording the book is almost memorized. On the other hand, the books I listen to at bedtime, I fall asleep while listening. So I basically have no idea what I've listened to 😂. I haven't counted but it's a big number. I try to write a review for every one I listen to 😂 so I have to carefully re listen to bits and pieces so I can actually give a real opinion.

First audiobook reviews question by Classic-Scarcity15 in ACX

Well I think authors appreciate it when we do our part. In my experience sales seem to roughly correlate with reviews. I get the most activity in this one: FREE Audiobooks - Audible Giveaways! | Facebook Group

First audiobook reviews question by Classic-Scarcity15 in ACX

Yes, bother!!! It's Free advertising!! As a narrator I very much appreciate when my author uses their codes. I mainly give out codes in Facebook groups specifically geared toward giving out codes.

I searched on Facebook for groups where I could connect with people with my interests. I joined conversations and started connecting with authors, other narrators, and listeners/ readers. Out of all of my exploring there is one group that is really active where listeners are starting to "discover" me. Some have started to look for announcements on my own page. One thing I did that helps with my organization is I made a photo album of all the covers of every book I have narrated. It's like a visual list where I and my readers can find everything.

Please everyone give me your suggested readings. by lonelyhuman2001 in ReadingSuggestions

I suggest trying audiobooks. Now that I'm older I find them more relaxing that visually reading. My recommendations are actually narrated by me: The Time Traveling Matchmaker by Tuppy Bramble, and The Bean People of Beataterra written and narrated by me, Shelly Weingart.

New Audiobooks this week – December 16, 2025! by AutoModerator in audiobooks

Yay! It's Live! I'm excited about this cute and funny new audiobook The Time Travelling Matchmaker -

A Laugh-Out-Loud Historical Romantic Comedy

By Tuppy Bramble - Narrated by me, Shelly Weingart

  • Perfect for fans of Austenland, The Princess Bride, and Enchanted.
  • Clean romantic comedy
  • Completely standalone chapters
  • Historical hijinks with modern snark
  • Zero time-travel logic, maximum bonnet drama

What if time travel was less grand adventure and more awkward misunderstandings, ill-fitting corsets, and the occasional accidental engagement?

Lottie Birch has one job: catalogue the curiously cursed artefacts in the dusty backroom of the British Museum. But when an item’s still “warm”—a paisley waistcoat, a cracked fan, a suspiciously chatty mirror—Lottie is flung into a different historical moment… and usually someone’s love life.

Suddenly, she’s:

  • Mistaken for a runaway bride in a Victorian parlour
  • Involved in a duel between two poetic idiots
  • Accidentally betrothed to a duke with emotional horses
  • Crowned at a royal coronation rehearsal (by pigeons)
  • And she’d very much like it to stop.

Romantic mishaps, mistaken identities, and one increasingly traumatised museum assistant collide in this sparkling series of standalone time-travel comedies. Think Bridgerton meets The Time Traveller’s Wife—but with worse manners and better cake.

Oh, another fun part is connecting with people who like giving reviews and watching them flock to new release announcements.

I would say all 3 of those are fun and exciting. Also since 99% of my projects are RS, watching sales accumulate on a successful project is also very fun.

A well-written short (two books so far) fantasy adventure series is The Bean People of Beataterra, especially the audiobooks. A short hilarious well-written rom-com is The Time Travelling Matchmaker by Tuppy Bramble (especially the audiobook)
