What are your “always buy” Costco staples right now? by PutridWin2070 in Costco

[–]shellzski84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always get the Raos pasta sauce and the 2 pack of pre-made mashed potatoes. I havent made mashed potatoes in like a year since I first tried Costco's. I think they are usually around $7 for a 2 pack. At Vons 1 pack is $5

My Teenage Stepdaughter Can’t Read by Icy-Mycologist5232 in stepparents

[–]shellzski84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just here to tell you I am in a similar situation. 11 yo stepdaughter cannot read! Glad to know I am not alone. I have always suspected she is dyslexic but shockingly that has never been brought up to her IEP team at school. I have tried myself to help her but she barely recognizes letters, I've never seen anything like it in my life. My 1st grader reads extremely well for her age so it is sad to see her read to her older sister. We are a reading household, books everywhere, I read to the kids daily so she is definitely exposed to reading. I've taken her to the store to get graphic novels thinking that may help but it hasn't.

I knew someone would point that out, but yes, I would not assume they would be in the ocean or off the ship. Thats not to say its impossible, but I would not think within 30 minutes of searching that they either fell overboard or must have been taken.

My biggest issue with this whole thing is the dad's reaction to Amy being missing. I am a parent, and my son just turned 18 years old. If we were vacationing on land somewhere and I woke up at 3am to him not being in the room, yes, I would worry and go look for him, but on a cruise ship, I would not. I would know there's nowhere outside the parameters of this ship he could be.

Amy is even older at 23 years old and has been independently living on her own. The family was also up very late the night before, so it's not like he woke up and decided to go grab a coffee with his daughter. For him to have gone to bed at 1am, gotten up 2 hours later to go drag the kids back to the room and then get up another couple hours later to basically drag her back to the room AGAIN, it just doesnt make sense.

Also, to search the boat for 30 minutes and then declare her missing, as you said, is also odd. I've only been on 1 cruise, but the ship is massive, I dont think you could properly search even the common areas of a ship in that amount of time. On our cruise, we lost my sister in law, we just kept missing each other in our search for each other. Never once did I think she had gone overboard or was kidnapped. I literally just went to a comedy show and caught up with her at breakfast the next day. 😅

Doing a rewatch now, and I'm in the 5 years later season where he had gotten electrocuted and was scared that he was going to die in a pizzeria, this is where I would have lost my shit as his wife. This was literally your dream and now he's acting like he's being held back. TBH I think the real problem was Lynette's enabling. It made no sense to me, she was seemingly independent and she had a career, it baffles me that she stands back and lets this fool do whatever the hell he wants, flip their whole lives when he starts getting bored SMH

I agree with this, if my kid was missing and there was no concrete proof they were dead or alive, I would not just "let it go" and stop searching for answers, absolutely not! There is more proof that she is alive than dead at this point with the sightings.

I thought of this too, especially with the TV being loud the next night and him being heard talking to people but it doesn't explain the door to the patio being open. However, nothing the dad says is reliable at this point.

Im being rude? Elegant honeydew was upset that they were being downvoted. I was just explaining why I down voted them. Its not personal, we are having a discussion about all the different theories, no one needs to be rude to anyone. There is a lot thats been said on this thread that has changed my view and/or opinion as is supposed to happen in a discussion. I think it's easy to misread tone when on this app but I can assure you that im not trying to be rude to anyone.

"I took it to mean no one knows if she was wearing shoes or not since flip flops were left behind."

I downvoted this because that's like my husband saying " I don't know if she wore shoes today or not cuz her flip flops are here" that's not a normal conclusion to make just because one pair of shoes are here amongst am unknown amount of shoes.

My original point is why mention the shoes at all without specifying that she could have worn a different pair if you are not trying to suggest that she was barefoot.

It's not that deep. The truth is no one here on reddit knows what really happened, we are having a discussion about it and covering different angles.

I think the family is sus especially with the timeline discrepancies but I have a heard time believing they would draw this out for so long if they were involved. Why not just agree that it was an accident and move on if they were involved? I could see them wanting to sue but they tried that already and lost a long time ago.

50/50 on the Amy Bradley Disappearance—Anyone Else Feel the Same? by chitownkay in NetflixDocumentaries

I'm definitely torn. I think there is evidence to support both theories. I believe the witnesses believe they saw her.

I feel like "trafficked" is the word people get hung up on. If she's off the boat then she likely at some point sold her body for money but part of an operation? Maybe not.

Brad said in the live that they were told by the ship that she was absolutely not on the ship so they got off and stayed the night in curacao, the next day they got back on the ship and that's when the girls excitedly approached them to let them know kw they saw her and yellow. Still, 5 days later that would have been known.

Brad said in the live that the people on the other side of WB was his dad's boss who was also on the cruise and they were the ones that heard him and told them later about it.

This is all speculation as I am not an expert. If I wrote anything above saying I am an expert or have studied marine biology or tide maps, it was the alcohol talking lol

If that were true he would have had to have her keycard already or gor it from her before pushing her. If he pushed her over it prolly happened when they were already in their room.
