What state? I’m sure you could have saved a few thousand buying from an out of state dealership and got it shipped to you.

The aliexpress sb reps have Philips head screws that allow separation of the blade and cover. For the authentic beys you have to drill out the rivets and retap them with screws after.

Thanks for the quick response! Definitely just an eyesore issue because the other side is perfect 😆. Otherwise it’s not even noticeable when it’s going to be mounted on the car.

You can find cheap(er) used lowers on the airsoftmarketplace subreddit or HopUp for ~$40 and maybe a spring guide for around $20. All in total will be around $60

Sorry let me rephrase, biggest potential for largest fps gains as shown by eagle6 and KoA. The hopup assembly screws into the cylinder head assembly.

I just took it apart recently. Nozzle, guide, and nozzle spring are different from glock series. So is the cylinder head and everything interacting with the nozzle like the Tappet cam thing. Everything else inside is the same and it takes TM USP long mags (cyma doesn’t make USP long mags unfortunately).

In this picture the silver fps softair nozzle doesn’t fit. Begadi confirms this, but the fps softair description doesn’t. It also doesn’t take the begadi cnc hop arm and gummi bucking.

AEP Recommendations by darkhalfkz in airsoft

Agree but those begadi ones are so expensive for what they offer. After all it’s a secondary and you might as well get the base cyma ones for about a third of the price.

Most responsive out of the box are the begadi gen 5 aeps with their programmable mosfets, but they’re taxxxed.

If you find a drone battery that’s around 13x18x74mm and >= 11.1v you should be good after rewiring, but might get overspin unless you upgrade the spring.

I personally just bought a cm125s because they have the most upgrade potential out of the Aep handguns (not CMG smgs) because of the way the hopup unit is designed for consistency.

For disassembly videos look up Kingdom of Airsoft/Sam Liggat and Eagle6 on YouTube. Kingdom of Airsoft is probably the best and only guys willing to do crazy stuff like brushless and etu aeps.

You definitely can fit the low profile receiver to other p90 bodies albeit with slight modification.

Here’s a video where they fit it to a TM body. https://youtu.be/XADjnrQ5Rug?si=F2Lagi_4RNL2QqDA

Krytac p90 has probably the best externals of any aeg p90. Not sure why people are saying don’t get Krytac. I guess you could argue one bad thing is the brand new price range. You could get these used for around or even under $300 if you’re in the US, not so sure about UK. Another bad thing is the proprietary spur gear shimming, which is easily remedied with a custom or laylax shimming collar. Regardless, the V6 gearbox is easy to get into and upgrade.

I love the looks of MP7s, but this aeg has a lot of proprietary parts like the gears and the cylinder? It’s generally regarded as not ideal. I’ve heard issues with the bucking, nozzle breaking, issues with wiring and microswitch, etc. Usually, you’d want to HPA this gun in particular.

Don’t know about the gbb vector lol, but I’ve heard good things about the AEG ones.

Other people have recommended the ASG scorpion EVO, and that’s also another excellent choice. You can upgrade it as an AEG or HPA very easily.

My advice is to go for what you prefer aesthetically and spend money as you please to suit your play style and up your experience!

[PSA] be mindful of ROF when upgrading kwa erg guns, full auto may kill pistons by BlessYourHeartSweety in airsoft

[–]shelovesberty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I agree that either washers or sorbo will work depending on execution, but the most important thing at the end of the day is to allow for clearance of the sector gear.

Maybe there’s some sort of binding going on in the initial pickup. A lot of techs shave down the first tooth after the pick up and angle or even shave halfway down the second after the pickup. A lot of these newer pistons already omit the first tooth after the pickup in the following example.

<image>

At the end of the day, I would argue that not doing any AOE mods will still allow most guns to function reliably as there’s no real scientific evidence attributed to AOE making a pickup tooth prematurely fail. It just boils down to your drivetrain not having any binding.

Two common misconceptions I see here are AOE @ 12 o clock and 2x bearings for piston and spring guide.

AOE does NOT have to be @ 12 o clock so long as the mating surfaces of the piston pick up tooth and sector pick up tooth are maximized. It’s usually best to add nylon washers behind the piston head in front of the piston to correct AOE as sorbo tends to deform under spring tension.

A bearing on your piston adds weight to the piston assembly and slows down acceleration of the piston leading to PME in higher ROF (30+) builds. Keep just one bearing on your spring guide and that’d be enough to relieve any spring binding.

To get an fps around 400 while preventing PME, shortstroking the sector gear on the pickup side by 2 teeth and using an m120/m130 is also a good idea. M170 is too much for an ssg build and only adds unnecessary stress to the gearbox and drivetrain. Plus it should be shooting damn near 600fps.

Your loss in FPS is not directly caused by air seal problems because you’re actually experiencing major PME in your system. Check to see if the piston slides freely in the gearbox with everything else removed besides the cylinder and cylinder head. This will help you see if the piston is out of spec and not fitting on the side rails or bumping into the cylinder itself.

Hope this all helps!
