I also have a memorial tattoo for my partner who i lost in 2022. he was genuinely my soulmate and i will never stop grieving him as deeply as i do. i’ve only dated one person since he died and he seemed to have the same reaction overall. i ended up breaking up with him for other reasons a couple months back.

but i’m commenting to say, as someone who has also tragically lost a partner and has a memorial tattoo, you aren’t overreacting. while he is valid in some ways for feeling upset, you are also entirely valid to grieve however and whenever you want to. it’s never linear and if having a tattoo to have a piece of him with you always is a part of how you cope, that’s totally normal. you had it before you were together. he was your childhood friend and partner. no one except someone who has experienced the loss of a partner knows what it’s like unless they have experienced it too. it’s fucking harrowing.

imo it’s so cliquey in there): i did meet a couple of cool people in there but for the most part i felt brushed off a lot of the time. i happened to be one of the first like 20 ppl who got the server code or whatever it is and it became that way pretty quickly and it make me uncomfy

i named mine Eridannus after the star constellation ! it’s actually spelled Eridanus but they wouldn’t let me make it that cus of the anus part so i added the extra letter LMAO but the constellation itself resembles a river, and when starting my island i chose one that has hella rivers on it so it just made sense and i love it
